I Tested INSANE Art Supplies From Etsy (are they false advertising??)

"Etsy sellers go the extra mile" reminds me of when I placed an order for a ton of acrylic charms and one I really wanted was already sold out. I left a message to the artist, thanking them for bringing the charms back and saying I am sad this one charm is already sold out. When the parcel arrived I literally cried because the charm I mentioned was included, as freebie, despite being sold out.

That iridescent paint has my mind going everywhere! Fish scales/ eye details/ fashion illustration/ calligraphy!!! It’s one of those art supplies that just makes everything magical

As an Etsy seller (and handmade paint maker) it’s a difficult market sometimes 😅

Haha, I recognise the watercolor pencils XD They are often sold at Dutch 'Action' stores, somewhat like a Dollar Store. Decotime often has really nice products, especially for the low price. Thought we did not get that slide-case here yet...

For those going above and beyond on your orders, you should buy from them again using a different account and see if you get the same treatment because of you get better treatment because of who you are then that's both click bait and false advertisement on the sellers part. For the mystery box, I was like "wow, that's a lot of stuff. The seller must have known who you were." And then it was confirmed because she or they gave you a code so I'm wondering if it was special treatment or if she/they really go above and beyond for every customer 🤔

Ah yeah, DecoTime pencils... That brand is also sold at Action (a European discount store) for like, a lot cheaper lol. So just from the name alone I knew the pencils would be either just okay or bad lol EDIT: lol I love the other Dutch people chiming in with the same comment. Ah, poor Rae!

I feel like you massively overpaid for the pencil set, these are DecoTime pencils, which are literally THE "dollarstore" pencil here in Europe. I can run to the store and get a set of 18 colours for 5 bucks. Getting all colours would only cost me 60...

My Etsy store is being killed by Canada's outrageous shipping prices. I used to be able to offer lower cost items but now I have to fill it with expensive stuff to make it worth the shipping. UGH. That iridescent paint is so fun! I had some nail polish in that kind of shade and I'\d sit there just turning my nails to see the colours change XD that drawing is fun.

I'm afraid that I don't trust that mystery art box. They recognized your name, which means they gave you a celeb box, which might not be representative of the normal box contents.

Damn they scammed you with the color pencils. Decotime is a super affordable brand like a pack of 18 watercolour pencils costs 1€, the quality isn’t bad if you pay the right price

That happened to me twice. 😂 I bought some Ball Jointed Doll clothes and I thought I got someone else's orders because there were a few extra items in there. Nope. The other one I bought was a book around Severus Snape and got a poster of him and replica of the Daily Prophet during the Deathly Hallows when Snape was Headmaster! That was quite the shock. I love Etsy because you can find unique things.

Those pencils would cost around £30 / $37! They are sold here in B&M which is one of our bargain/cheap stores 😮

The last pencils that you got might come from the store Action in france (or europe in general) which is a VERY cheap store like i’m very familiar with this brand and i was shocked by the price 😭😭😭😭

The mystery box shop recognizing you is a negative, because now I just feel like you probably got a nicer variety. And after all, etsy shops do care about their business

My worry is a lot of these came with extra stuff because of who you are and they recognized you. If we were to order, we would probably only receive the item and maybe a stick or two or a postcard. I doubt we would get all that stuff. It's awesome for you and smart on the seller as it's good advertising. It's unfortunate for us as the buyer as we would be expecting to get all that stuff and wouldn't get it. I wish the sellers said in their notes whether the extra stuff was just for you or that comes in all their orders. These are awesome products though!!!

OK, so I am absolutely positively not an artist, I am, however, a woman in long-term recovery, and I work with women in treatment, and we do a lot of arts and crafts, because sometimes we hear better when we are doing art. I love your joy I love your calling! Thank you so much for making it fun for even a absolute, not artist to truly enjoy your videos!
