Thank you so much for playing my map!! <3

0:56 I was lost and confused, then I saw the green timer and everything became right in the world
  • @xhappybunnyx
honest to god the green timer is instrumental in being able to understand the time it takes to do these things, which is paramount to a speedrun stream imo. especially watching the edited versions here on yt

I was so close just moving on to next video BUT the green timer captivated me and made Wirtual sound more convincing and look more handsome.

can we just appreciate the sign work on this map? The arrows going from red to green on tight turns was just so beautiful of a detail. And the text warnings when the ice and jump parts came were so well though out as well
  • @psejaofficial
Unironically, the green timer is a good thing. It can help the viewer of the video see how much time has passed since the last improvement, for example, if there is a cut in the video. Sometimes when looking at some streamers' videos who don't have a timer, it makes you think that the improvement on a very hard map happened in one or two tries, which might have taken them an hour or two. You can see that with the timer.

2:34 This is actually a problem when it comes to designing games in general, where people severely underestimate how much they know of their own work, but there's a certain general idea that people tend to follow along the lines of "If it's just right for you, it's probably far too difficult"
  • @Figorix
Mapper is definately an engineer. He knows he need to put visible clear signs. And i love it as a viewer. Wish more mappers warned you ahead of surface change and such
  • @DarkOwOLord
0:44 Ask and you shall receive "Wirtual, how could you forget to put on the green timer."
  • Ode to Green Timer Oh, green timer, steadfast in your vigil, Counting seconds with unwavering grace, In your hue, a verdant wave so regal, You mark the passage of time's fleeting race. Your numbers move like dancers in a grand ball, Ticking away the moments, swift and sure, A silent guardian, standing so tall, In your presence, we feel time's allure. Personified, you stand as a sentinel, Watching over us with tranquil repose, Guiding us through the hours, so gentle, In your glow, time's journey silently flows. Oh, green timer, keeper of the day's span, In your presence, we find solace and plan. 0:45

it’s pretty cool how the color of the arrows indicates whether you need to drift or fullspeed the turn
  • @akilec6081
It also looks so nice that the color of the arrows in each curve change its color depending on how sharp the turn is, like the race line guide from other racing games, great video as always!! <3

4:24 - "What if you had a format where the slowest, uhhhh, players after ten checkpoints driven got knocked out? And then the slowest after twenty, and so on..." That'd actually be kind of neat... just basically some kind of mode where instead of simply catching checkpoints and reaching the end goal with the fastest time, you instead have a sort of tick-down timer to reach a particular checkpoint or goal section. Say you start with 45 seconds on the timer, and every specially marked checkpoint gate you pass gives you another 30 or something, and you just fail if you don't cross a major gate before the timer reaches zero.
  • @mikaeo23
thank you for adding the green timer, it would've been hard to watch without it
  • @julian954
I love the stream-of-consciousness, unscripted but also offstream stuff. Really cool to hear how you think about the game from a casual viewer.
  • @Marc0coco
Wirtual talks about how a competition with maps like this would be cool. I have seen Granady play comps like this where they would play new longer endurance maps (I think at least 5 minutes maps) specifically made for the comp so that they are sightreadable for the most part. This cup had the points format, where you gain more points the higher you finish and you play i think like 4 maps for all 1 round each. And then after doing this 4 times about a week apart each you have a winner Edit: just looked it up, it was called Turbo's endurance Race. A 5 step competition featuring 4 times 5+ minutes maps
  • @anthonyg6083
This map is probably the best beginner friendly map I've ever seen. Absolutely 10/10 love it. Glad you are showcasing it and 100% need that green timer :D
  • @noctesig
Video actually starts 0:56, since the first 55 seconds were unwatchable according to Wirtual. Kidding, keep up the great work man, love the content!
