Harry Potter is an epic franchise, but it could’ve been even more epic! Did you have any idea how many deleted scenes the Harry Potter series had? Are you ready to see the best Harry Potter deleted scenes? Then tune into our new video about Harry Potter moments that ended up on the cutting room floor!
For example, there was a Harry Potter scene in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, where Harry was thinking about the Mirror of Erised. In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Ron Weasley presented Harry with an interesting device. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire showed us the students’ choir conducted by Professor Dumbledore. In Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, Harry was sad about Sirius. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince created a perfect foreshadowing of the dark events to come by showing Severus Snape in deep thought with eerie music in the background. And Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows had quite a few deleted scenes. The one with Hermione Granger was cute and lighthearted, while the other one with Draco Malfoy could’ve entirely changed how we see his character.

Grindlewald with the elderwand: I wanna conquer the world Voldermort with the elderwand: I wanna conquer the world Dumbledore with the elderwand: let's sing karaoke

The look in Snape's eyes, you could almost hear him saying "I dont want to do this. Please dont make me do this."
  • This scene with Petunia! It just makes so much sense! The goodbye from Dudley is also a moment many people speak about when talking about the books. It feels unfair to have left this scene out. And the scene of Snape is just amazing, how a shot without words can say so much really is impressive. A pity they took it out. I'd like to have the movies with all the deleted scenes in it.
  • There is a special place in my heart that's been reserved only for Severus Snape. This can never be replaced by anyone else. Truly an extraordinary character that I've encountered in my life. When I've watched part 1 of the movie, never in a zillion year have I realised that I'll end up feeling this way about him.

Definitely should’ve kept the Dursley scene. For me Dudley’s handshake is definitely a big moment in the the book series and definitely should’ve been in the movie

Dudley telling Harry he isn’t a waste of space is probably my favorite scene in the whole series.
  • Draco giving Harry his wand was actually very important. Since the Elder wand actually belonged to Draco as well. It was a bit like them being paired together just like Harry and Voldemorts original wand were.
  • 5:00. The sadness on his face :( Such an amazing actor. ps: When Dudley stepped over the chain onto the lawn, he looked his father dead in the eyes like mocking him with it, proceeding to shake Harry's hand. I love that. Such a shame they cut both of the Dursley scenes.

I wish they did not delete these scenes
  • I really wish they would have kept the scene with snape and the music, it was beautiful
  • Ron and Hermione skipping stones gives more romantic vibes between them than all other scenes. They show real chemistry. Also, Draco handing Harry the wand was a must, as well as Petunia and Dudley's farewell to Harry. They add depth, charactier, humanity. drama. And I'll never forgive the movie for killing Fred off screen.
  • the Snape scene was by far the most impactful for the story. I cant for the life of me understand why they took it away. It would have been such a great foreshadowing to his legacy
  • Draco giving his wand to harry is everything, why wouldn't they add that into the movies that's the best thing that can ever happen in the whole entire wizarding world, how can they??
  • @maacrl
The scene with Severus gave me the chills, so beautiful and deep, why on earth did they delete it?
  • I loved Alan Rickman's character Snape. He was actually a good guy spying on the bad while he deeply cared for Harry, partly because of Lilly being his mother and partly because he actually cared for him. Snape was a great man and I'm Happy Harry named one of his sons "Albus Severus Potter" honoring Dumbledore and Snape that way was just 😱😭, I desperately just wanted to bawl. A good bawl not a bad bawl.
  • Tbh the exam one when Ron said “then copy you” actually makes me realize how much friendship they have- idk-
  • “You didn’t just loose your mother that night......I lost a sister”. Deam that made me tear up, I never liked that woman but after that scene I really sympathize with her.
  • I would say that the good side of Malfoy is the most essential part of the series that apparently is deleted. It's a real shame. I also agree that the scenes with the Dudley's had to remain in it. Interesting video!
  • Dudley stepping on the grass theatrically in fron of Vernon is just everything :D
