21 Year Old's Ingenious £5,000 Tiny Home!

Published 2023-10-27
This weeks episode is my absolute favourite kind. An innovative tiny house design which has been DIY built and for a budget which is truly hard to believe!

Over the past years we have seen the cost of building sore to new heights and I never thought I'd see another tiny home built for a budget even close to this! In a world where now even the majority of DIY projects can be accompanied by some huge budgets, it's amazing to know that this is still possible!

Jack's project was made possible by a tremendous amount of hard work though. Doing the build over a period of three years gave him a lot of time to cleverly source materials and chip away at the project. Still, he is now only 21 years old and has his very own tiny home! What an accomplishment!

Jack’s tiny house design is brilliant! It’s compact and packs a heck of a punch with loads of innovative features. Beyond that though, I love the story of how he built it together with his father and all for budget which blows my mind! We hope you enjoy this episode. Thanks for watching this tour and for supporting our channel! With love, Bryce & Rasa

This is, by far, one of the best tiny homes that I have seen. Jack is brilliant, and is so fortunate to have such a supportive father, grandfather, uncle. Well done.

This is my daughter in the video and her partner Jack I am very proud of them both A beautiful little house and they have all worked so hard to put this together ❤️
  • The UK needs planning laws that allow tiny houses, so we can have more brilliant homes and videos like this!

While I noted the advantages of family land, support, experience etc., I was impressed by the ingenuity of many of the design features and by Jack's perseverance in finishing such a long project alongside studying. He will have learned so much in the process and worked hard too. Whatever privileges he has had do not detract from that. Well done young man.

He's one very lucky young man to have not only gained experience from this build but to have had so much help and support from family and all that family land is something else. This is not something a regular 21-year old can do unless they have this type of family and access to land...

What an intelligent, determined and delightful young man. His home is so incredibly attractive and practical. Kudos to him, his supportive dad and family for achieving this dynamite result. 🦋

I'm homeless at 44, worked all my life. I haven't seen my father and uncles since I was 14. I liked the vid because it was nice to see family helping each other. This vid is a great blue print for those who are worried about their young.

It sure helps to have a family who already own the land, can provide the machines needed and help with the build. But still, the house's design is great and he seems to be a really nice guy.

The ingenuity of the raised kitchen with the double bed sliding underneath and doubling as a sofa, and the fold out table with the hook on folding chairs is absolutely ingenious. Well done Jack!

I dont think I have ever seen a build where I wouldn't change anything, and of course I would do a bigger tiny, especially kitchen, but this is incredibly efficient. The vertical thinking in the kitchen to bed is very good. A thought provoking build.

What a lovely lad. He's obviously been raised very well and shows a great deal of pride and also modesty in his achievements. Well done Jack!
  • @alexandragatto
Yes he had a ton of family help and it's a huge privilege to have access to that expertise and land but he has clearly worked INCREDIBLY hard on this himself and spent an enormous amount of time planning and working. It's an incredible example of playing the hand you are dealt.

Our world would be in a much much better place if every boy had a supportive father in his life like Jack has. Congratulations on your very first build. I'm sure we will see more of you in the future.

Bryce is the kind of person that anyone would love for him to turn up to their home and review it, regardless of the size.
  • This is what a tiny house is all about. Lots of salvage or second hand/used material, packed with energy and space saving ideas. So many so called tiny houses these days are far from the original concept. Jack is such an intelligent, polite, charming young man with an amazing creativity. This gem, without a doubt, is one of the very best of tiny houses and wish him all the success and fun with his film making career in the future.
  • This is amazing, looks better than some multimillion mansions I've seen, what a guy, humble, smart.
  • @andromydous
Just goes to show that you can't judge a house by its size. This house is absolutely amazing!
  • @freetobeme6013
He’s a lucky young man to have such supportive people backing him. You can tell he’s been raised right as he seems like a lovely young guy. I hope they are very happy there.
