The father and son scenes were very touching and leaving in some mystery in the plot adds to the beauty of this work just like our Orthodox faith is beautiful with it’s mysteries.
  • 09:00 "You're watching a different fellowship meeting in this fellowship meeting." I laughed out loud at this. 😅

I am a non-egyptian coptic orthodox reader. I started in a fully english speaking coptic church and moved to a place with no such place to call my church. I have worked hard to speak/read coptic so that i can pray with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I love the Coptic faith. But i will say that the arabic is difficult and I wish that it could be kept to a real minimum. But i understand the struggle we face. I appreciate that to some extent our church goes with the flow and comfort level of each person attending and serving at liturgy. The only rule really is to respond in the same language as the call. I appreciate the struggle over language so much more now thanks to this video. God bless the hands who made this and those watching/listening.

I love this so so much The focus on all the struggles of women/mothers in the church in the very first episode was a very pleasant surprise I love all the father/son scenes and I love how all the scattered "cultural" scenes blended into one beautiful ending I can't wait to see more and more of this❤

As a professional film maker, this is really a great job, God bless you guys
  • Amazing. Whether in Egypt, the west or anywhere else the Coptic Orthodox Church always has these issues and much more. Good to spread awareness to change.
  • Great production! As a convert to the Ethiopian Church who has spent a lot of time among Copts, I feel like I just learned a tonne over the last hour. Looking forward to the next installment...

Since I did watch the movie before, I decided to just watch a few minutes, but I could not stop until the entire one hour and few minutes was over and felt like I even wanted to watch it again. I am so impressed, dear Andrew. God bless you and bless all your efforts.

I was born and raised in Egypt. I can clearly see the absolute need for having all-English services in the land of immigration. We OWE this to the coming generations. @andrewishak, I applaud you for tackling the struggle a Coptic Abouna goes through. Other than the language, there are so many cultural issues in the church that need to be addressed. Differentiation between culture, spirituality, orthodoxy, and traditions is essential for a fruitful discussion.

Cannot wait to the next episode, great story telling and filmatography. God bless you Andrew it's so true. You reminded me of our churches, very interesting sitting on the other side of the couch.
  • @Faithzaker
This was really good. I am syriac orthodox and we have the same issues, very happy to see you shedding the light on them, I hope the ending continues to be as great as the beginning
  • @RitaSaikali

I am so thrilled to see someone creating American Coptic stories!!!! Bravo 👏 well done! Please keep making more 🎉❤🎉
  • Thanks Andrew for dedicating time and efforts to produce this genuine piece of production. I agree with many comments mentioning that the father and bemen scenes are heart touching. Thanks for highlighting that truth is not black and white displaying different church members attitudes and behaviors.
