Repair Shop Ripped Him Off - Let's Fix It! The seller of this Xbox Series X took it to a repair shop for HDMI port repair but after spending $400 it only worked for about a month before it went back to not showing an image on the screen. Let's take it apart and see if we can figure out what went wrong. And get it working again, of course.

As a repair shop, this is so frustrating! Sketchy shops like these give us ALL a bad name and only further damage our already struggling industry. So glad you were able to help them out.
  • @ryutenmen
400$ for a "repair"?! It would be baffling expensive for a real repair when you can find perfectly working Series X for around 400$. I got mine brand new, factory sealed for 350$.

You're a true Superhero to all us gamers! Thank you for another awesome video 🎉

Hi Steve, how are you? I hope you are well, every Friday we need the perfect amount of your repairs and thermal paste

I took a leap and went and bought a broken Sony 4k projector on eBay auction and tried to systematically fix it like how you do in your videos. Red light flash on start up and started tearing down. Started with bulb and what do you know?! It was busted! Replaced bulb and just like that, all fixed!. 100 hours of enjoyment so far! Awesome!! It was a risk that paid off 😊

Pulls heatsink off "WHOA.. Not the perfect amount of thermal paste!" .. That was the same reaction I think we all had.
  • @Enjoymentboy
So now we know what happens when you let "the new guy" practice on a customer's system.

How do people even break HDMI ports? Consoles are stationary things, how many time do these people plug and unplug the HDMI cable
  • @Oystertech
Wishing you the best with the rest of the treatment! Thanks for still putting out these videos for us!
  • @InsaneGamersPro

I just found out what you are going threw this is the first video I've watched in awhile due to personal reasons but my heart and prayers goes out to you. I love your content and have learned so much from you. My current PlayStation 4 I've had for ten years only because of the repairs I've learned from you. I really hope you pull through this and I pray it only makes you and your family stronger
  • @mikeyuk5434
$400 for that repair is ridiculous, you may as well just have bought a new one, they go on sale for like $349 sometimes nowadays.
  • @Juan16491
Always learning something new from you, thank you, Professor Steve, big regards from Costa Rica
  • @PulpVision
I've been watching your videos since 2020 and your tutorials helped fixed and thermal pasted my PS4 consoles. I wish you a full recovery and thanks for all your help! 🙏

Steve, I always get excited for one of your videos and I could still hear you fix an old TV remote by diagnosing faulty AAA bateries and would be content with it. Hope all works out for you in terms of health and that you will grace us with your presence for years to come. Have all our strenght and THANK YOU!
