What a band. What a voice. What a songwriter. No one comes close to Daniel Johns.

Here after listening to ep 3 of Daniels podcast…. Seen this many times before but hits abit harder now. He pulls this off very well. Man I love this album 🙌🏼

There is something very magical about this performance.

I would like to hear from the people standing in the front of the audience that night… did they realize what they were witnessing? 20 years later and after all these years of listening to Diorama, then Young Modern and Dissociatives, then Dan’s solo records… this performance is fucking magical, fucking legendary. The song just gets better and better with each listen. And to know what Dan was going thru, to see his vocal performance and the heart, the passion he gives everything to the song… thank God for Silverchair.

Daniel Johns deserve every credits. Looking back at this performance, he mentioned that he was sick and hurting during this time but he still managed to pull it off. That's what you call dedication. I realy admire his passion and his art in everything even up to this day. His versatility is so admirable that he literally can sing and play anything. His compositions were truly genius. He deserve to be inducted in Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Not today but in the future.🙌🏻 Such a virtuoso!💯

And it turned out to be the best greatest view performance I've ever seen.

Now that I am watching this again, it gives me so much meaning now more than ever! Specially when I heard it on the episode 3 of 'Who is Daniel Johns?' podcast. Daniel mentioned that during this performance, his body could only endure performing for 3 minutes MAX (and the song is 3:40 +) and yet he finished the song like a true fighter even by the end of it he was already physically hurting due to his illness at that time. Because of this performance, the record rocketed back in the chart- WHERE IT DESERVES and not on the shelve.🤷🏻‍♀️ OMG, but seriously?! If you don't know that back story, you will never know how epic this performance was! Really fckin AMAZING! I'm literally so speechless and simply just wanna say, THANK YOU Daniel, glad you did not give u
  • What the word needs now is…. Silverchair to get back together and tour the whole Diorama album with full orchestra! I’d pay any amount for a ticket to that gig 🤞
  • @2gigahijau
Diorama is masterpiece, really hoping the band reunite and making new album
  • I still listen to 'Diorama' a lot...brilliant album. This performance was magnificent..

In full context this is a triumph of a performance. Peak Joy from someone still physically ill and struggling to perform more than one song, and then he did that.
  • @peterpfukwa
This is one of the most beautiful songs ever, wow
  • @silverchaired
After reading love and pain, it’s so amazing that Dan commited to this performance and did so well, whilst struggling with his disease

Daniel - formal attire Chris - sports coat Ben - singlet, fedora and puka shell necklace 😎

This was a brilliant performance and meant so much at the time. It was essentially the first time that Dan had been able to perform in approx. 2 years (due to his crippling arthritis). As others have indicated, it was still a challenge to perform, but he nailed it :)
  • @mayamaya4094
The fact that he had his arthritis at that time, just amazed me, cause he still delivered the best performance. Love you to the bone Daniel ❤
  • @jdrulach
What a performance considering the back story. There’s only 2 memorable Aria performances I can remember. This and their cover of Midnight Oil’s ‘Don’t wanna be the one’ in 2006. Daniel Johns is a national treasure. Amazing band, amazing man.
