God damn. Being 16 and performing your songs on SNL. Incredible
-
The drummer can friggin crack. Nothing elevates a band quite like a powerful and dynamic drummer.
-
I can't think of another male singer, with a voice that powerful at 16 years old. It's been cool listening him evolve his voice over the years but I think my favourite version of Daniel johns is definitely this one! The 90s nostalgia!!
-
Dude was 16 and on point. Mad respect.
-
This is how I will always remember Silverchair long-haired kids who can freak the world out with their music!
-
Man, does this take me back. If only I had a time machine....
-
His vocals on all the live performances are incredible for adults. For his age? Wow
-
Man!!I think this is the best live performance I've ever seen on snl and this band was in their teens !!
-
Daniels’ vocal in this is just so so powerful. I can’t even explain what this performance does to me. Takes me to another dimension.
-
Daniel Johns singing is amazing here! You can hear Chris’s bass he’s a great bassist! Ben is basically the Australian Dave Grohl! Silverchair was a great band too bad I’ll never see this version live.
-
Just pure raw music man! Damn missed this old silverchair. They were 15yo kids. 90s music ❤
-
Snl still talks about this epic live 🎭
-
It is a pride that one of the youngest bands in the world belongs to grunge

Man I was 15 years old back in 2002 when my friend sent this video. I was absolutely blown away that these guys were the same age here, and suddenly everything seemed possible with our music. This was the start of a Silverchair love affair. Diorama is still one of the most important albums of my young adulthood.

This is the most nostalgic video to me on all of YouTube. I remember very well watching this when it aired live. I was 14 years old and going into my freshman year of high school. I was a huge Nirvana fan and was still in shock from Kurts death the previous year. Silverchair wasn’t Nirvana, obviously, but they had a Nirvana-like aura about them.

Incredible song. One of the best from the 90's grunge scene. Respect to the singer for going through hell in terms of his mental health. Glad he is doing well, and respect to these guys for the incredible music.
-
Seen em live in 97, in a small venue. Pure raw talent, sonic ear candy!
-
You know it’s a good track when it feels a lot shorter than it really is
-
Incredible performance!

This is a ripper of a song. I always crank this on my way to uncle dans and the cervo to get ciggies, peace and love
