    im sure this has happened many times to many techs and they have no clue to this day. when they replace the motor they will also replace the cap. the blower will work and they will assume the motor did the job.
  • cool video. Before I bought a Fieldpiece the only way I checked caps was the ohms way, ramp up and down good, if it acted goofy replace cap, the method always worked. Never forget the primitive ways of checking things.

    I would have thought it was a mechanical problem inside the motor with all the finds you have done.
  • I'll always stick my hand and spin the blower manually and if it runs then you know it's a bad capacitor been taking everything apart like that

    If you flip your leads on the cap you will see the charging and discharging
