The 2022 FTX Crypto Cup sees Magnus Carlsen, Alireza Firouzja, Levon Aronian, Anish Giri, Jan-Krzysztof Duda, Liem Le, Hans Niemann and Praggnanandhaa gather in the Eden Roc Miami Beach Hotel in Miami, Florida for the 2nd Major on the $1.6 million Meltwater Champions Chess Tour. $210,000 and a $100,000 Bitcoin bonus is at stake in the 7-round all-play-all tournament. Each match consists of 4 rapid games on the chess24 Playzone, with the winner earning $7,500 (3 points). If the match is tied there's a blitz tiebreak, with 2 blitz games followed, if needed, by a single Armageddon game. The winner earns $5,000 (2 points) and the loser $2,500 (1).

For each rapid game the players have 15 minutes for all their moves, with a 10-second increment after each move. For blitz games it's 5 minutes and a 3-second increment, while for the Armageddon game White has 5 minutes to Black's 4, but a draw counts as a win for Black. No draw offers are allowed before move 40. Official website: chess24.com/tour

That triple battery in e file was so convincing. Brilliant game by Pragg not only holding it but also winning the match.
  • What an excellent chess analyst and narrator you are, dearest Agadmator.
  • @menpower1
The start of a beautiful rivalry perhaps? I can't wait for Firouzja and Pragg to form the new generation of super GMs
  • @gajofre
What a nice feeling to see that the future of chess seems secured.

Ali Reza needs to improve on his end games. He loses on winning positions once the key pieces gets exchanged. Somehow his position immediately becomes weak after exchange. Pragg has a terrific end game and a very strong positional player. This is a great era for chess with such a lot of latent coming thru.
  • As the great Might Gai would say "THE YOUTH!!!" What a time to be alive
  • @Voyleglover
Has Pragg memorized thousands of machine moves? Pretty incredible stability. He is one amazing player.
  • As I examine the current list of Top 20 Classical format player ratings, it occurs to me that Pragga just might be the next one to crack 2800.
  • Consecutive 3 matches in between Pragg and Firoujza. It seems Agad has seen the future and is preparing for the World Championship in between these two geniuses.
  • It's painful to see Firouzja throw away another winning position. But well done, Prajnananda. Hope to see more battles between these two, especially in classical format.
  • @geofixated
We are living in the new Golden Age of Chess.
  • @pattabiramans
To win from a losing position is perhaps the most difficult one. Pragg does it time and again. To never give up is the golden rule in chess just as in life.
  • @hfcriske
Prag is so impressive, really enjoy watching him play
  • @paramdrall
Really thought Pragg was Pushing it with Rc6..... Was freaking when he played Kb2 !!
  • @BK_Beloved
Capablanca-esque endgame technique by Pragg! Simple, smooth, and clean🔥. Sick game
  • I have foreseen both of these titans as world champions from 2026 -- 2038 -- battling it out every year.
  • @amanarakh6069
Man! That end game deserves a soundtrack. Freaking LEGENDARY fight from Pragg. Only young blood can fight like that. Wow. Heroic.
  • @rajsrini8229
Great game - how the game swings with each move! Thank for the lovely analysis!
  • @sergeflousier
Agad- thanks for the spoiler free thumbnail with both portraits ! keep it up! <3
  • It's incredible how many times I've seen Alireza having a winning position to at worst making it a draw and then all of a sudden having end game losing positions.
