It's a common misconception that when a stock you buy skyrockets, the smart thing to do is sell it (or at least sell some of it) to lock in your profits. But the context matters. I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio dwindle away is such an eye -sore.

Out of all the investing youtubers I watch, this guy is by far the most informative -he tells me step-by-step what to do on investing apps, -tells me the strategy ( work towards first 100k) -and hes funny and can understand where young people are coming from

I wish I heard this advice 35 years ago when I was 15. I was told that I couldn't achieve any of the goals and dreams that I had from family, friends, and teachers. At 50 now, they got the best of me and I really haven't achieved anything. I am working towards a bachelor's degree at 50 for higher pay but I will never be a millionaire, which was my goal at 15 years old. Take it from this old man and don't listen to anyone and follow your goals!
