  • I'm loving all of the options I have for watching the games. I'm so excited!!
  • Athens 2004 had the Acropolis as backdrop and Greece OG home of the Olympics had a spectacular Games! I was there & they were the best modern games for holding true to OG values of being a festival vs spectacle. Athens was a celebration - not a VIP showcase.

France DO think big ! Paris especially! That’s their style
  • Thank heavens I left Paris recently. Prices, transport, road detours etc. I hope it goes well, but I have doubts.

  • An expected huge transport strike on the day of an opening ceremony. What a great way to begin the Olympics.

Terrible start to the games with booing of the national anthem of Argentina and the pitch invasion. No respect at all. Is a shame. Not what I expected from France. I think the France of old is gone.
