Queen Latifah did an amazing job playing Bessie Smith. I LOVE that movie
  • Oh sure, when Josephine dances it's called classic but when I do it it's a seizure! But seriously thanks for putting this up. So much talent & history that needs to be remembered. Some of my best memories were my grandma playing me some of Billie Holiday's music when I was just a tiny kid.

👑❤️👑This was so great!!! I have read about/seen documentaries about a few of these Queens. I was looking forward to seeing Roberts Flack, Mahalia Jackson, Mini Riperton, & many others. ⭐But maybe there will be an updated version, starting with many that weren't mentioned. Thankful for the few I learned of, and never heard of before.
