My oldest just turned two and I’m soaking up homeschooling content in the meantime. I got him a dry erase tracing book for his birthday and he’s starting to get more interested in it. I give him a mini chocolate chip for each page he wants to “practice” with mama on, and then of course he also just goes to town coloring all over it sometimes too. The first day we spent at least 30 minutes on the book and he loved it! I’m going to try not to rush him out of my own excitement, and just let him lead for the next couple years pretty much.

Lakeshore Learning has some bug specimens encased in acrylic. We bought the whole set that includes sea animals, plants, etc... but my 5 year old loves scaring her dad with the spider ones!

I just received my kids the good and the beautiful curriculum... and I'm so excited. I opened the curriculum to see what I need to know and I got such a relieve from it because Its all well put together. Just open and go!!! I've been doing tot school with my little ones, they are 2 and 3. I showed the kids there new curriculum and they are so excited for school! Also love how it involves God. I'm still looking into more curriculum with TGATB. I'm obsessed and excited to be teaching my kids.

That Bug Unit Study looks so fun. I’d love to see what all you’re going to do with/ it. I’m also interested in their new Birds Unit Study. Cannot wait to see their new Math and can’t wait to see you preview it!

My two middles did a 2 year hybrid with kinder and 1st grade too! TGATB really lends itself for that easy flow and mash up and it honestly made more sense for us. Nice to see we aren't the only ones! 💕😘

I'm prepping our new BIRDS unit from TGTB while watching this and my hubby thinks I'm so weird, lol. Glad I'm not the only one who loves laminating, cutting and prepping :)

I just found your channel and your energy is infectious! I laugh with you, and you just exude joy. I am going to binge through your videos as I end this school year and try to decide what to do next year - for a entering first grader and a 3.5 early preschooler. This video is so helpful because you have children the same age as mine. Can’t wait to fly through your videos! We do caterpillars to butterflies every year! Insectlore! I’ve done that, and lady bugs 🤣 ans we do ants. I’ve learned to love bugs too hehe

My kids LOVE the tree drawing! I'm definitely going to purchase the Draw Vintage Images for next school year. My son says he finds these instructions easier to follow than others he's tried. Praying for you and your bug unit! Ha! 🙏

I love Arthropods. It has basically become a year-long adventure for us. I have a couple of different videos on my channel that show our Arthropods haul. We also added two games: Beetle (it is like Cootie) and Stink Bug. If you can find Insect Mazes and the Beetle Flipbooks used, I definitely recommend them for your preschooler. We didn't do the butterfly grow kit because it isn't humane, but we watched timelapse videos on YouTube.

We just ordered the typing books too and I'm hoping the boys love it. They really need to learn typing haha. ;)
