I bought the 44 magnum 629 5" barrel last year. It is very fun to shoot. I probably should clean it like this too.

I take it you want to shoot your Magnum at 50 to 70 yards (sighted), but such pistols aren't designed for long-range, yet there's no rules against that. At doing so, get your gun "Laser Bore Sighted" first, using a stable "Pistol Vice Stand", then start at 15 yards, working your way up gradually (25,35,etc.)Being your pistol has rear-sight-adjust should make it doable. Best though going at it all using the single-action trigger.Great video feature!

Love mine too. Bought a red dot, but never got it mounted

Hi, I would use a small red dot with a 2MOA dot. Like Holosun Dot Sight ELITE HE508T-GR. It is also rated for 5000g, should be enough for .44 RemMag. If you want to use it only sometimes, I would use an LPA WXT0107 in conjunction with it. If not, and you want to use the Revolver only with the red dot I would mount it with a WEIGAND COMBAT S&W Revolver Mini Mount in Silver. Greetings

Why not just use a bore snake? It would be much easier or is there a reason I’m not understanding thanks.

Good video. I had a scope on my TC Encore it was accurate but the movement in my hand distracted me, when looking at target. I traded that pistol in for a raging bull with a red dot sight on it. I don't notice the natural movement in my hand now since zero magnification. So i feel for me I shoot it better. I feel a holographic sight might be lighter. Get one designed for heavy recoiling handguns. Oh with the Encore I had shot deer with it, and one time at 2 power deer shoulder filled the scope. So just a thought when making a choice.

I just picked one of these up today. I'm hoping to get out and shoot it tomorrow. Call me a weanie but I'm kinda scared to see how she kicks lol. Thanks for this video. It was very well done! I watch a video doing a complete teardown and cleaning. That made me nervous to watch. Lots of moving parts in that frame. How many rounds do you usually shoot in between cleanings?

Hey what's going on great video. 👍 Can you put all teams u used on the description so I can buy on Amazon?
  • Yeah so the cylinder DOES NOT some apart that easily. I wish it did, but it doesn't. I have used every vice, drill, plier and other tool i have at my disposal and nothing budges. I can get it out of the gun, but cant get anything else to come apart. No sliding, no rotating. Nothing. EDIT: Had to use an industrial drill press to get it. But it came loose.
