Mixed Adventures and Exploring Old Big House in the Woods

Good work on the 1904 Barber Quarter. I'm down here in Australia, I found myself a 1914-D  Barber Quarter on an oval, I was most surprised and pleased. I've always wanted one!

That house was beautiful. I sometimes think about how cool it would be to build a brand new one in a style like this, but modernized. 

The barber quarter is sweet! Great find! Tell dad silvers don't count in flip flops. LOL. And sweet on the Franklin half pulls! The shot glass is very cool, I did catch the rim before you showed it. ;-)

It's a shame that old places like that have become so expensive to maintain. They were beautiful and well built. I'd love to have lived in one but only if it had air conditioning .Ha Good luck guys.

Well as a 'die-hard subscriber' - this update was a real treat, nicely put together with your commentary. Great how this is a family hobby for you guys and some great silver finds there involving everyone. That shot 'glass' with the silver dollar was a ripper - a real collector's pieces. Shame about the old house - a real 'fixer-upper' - but I guess the economics of fixing those old places doesn't make sense any more. Amazing how 1947 typewriter paper is still there in that condition - anyway I hope you sent in your entry and good luck in the competition (although I think it was drawn in June '47 so you may be a little late).
