“Russia's own forces on their side of the border, they've got 50,000 troops on that border, but most of them are concentrated at Vovchans'k, and they're not very good.”

Ukraine’s surprise offensive will force Russia’s forces to “weaken themselves” on the other fronts to fight off the incursion into the Kursk region, which could give Ukraine the advantage going into winter, says Michael Clarke.

It is forbidden to fire from Ukraine into Russia, but not from Russia into Russia

Ukraine is using Western weapons. So what? Russia is using North Korean munitions and Iranian drones (and possibly Chinese equipment). It just so happens that Western weapons systems are better than what Russia is getting from NK and Iran.

The entire Ukrainian border need to move a few km into Russia.

The benefits of not being loaden with pillaged toilets and washing machines.
  • @Seify1000
It took Russia almost a year to take 390 square kilometres with 70,000 to 100,000 losses. Ukraine took 450 square kilometres in 5 days with minimal losses 😯
  • How can invading Russia be dangerous for Ukraine? That is a rather disgusting statement. Ukraine is already in danger. Not just any danger, it is fighting for its survival already. Calling returning the favor to the Russians dangerous is totally dismissive of Ukraine's current situation. It's disgusting.
  • At this point every Russian officer and intelligence analyst is hoping that it will be their superior who gets purged. Not good for morale.

This move was tactical and political. Politically everyone in the West and Russia are talking about the "Invasion" of Russia, it's a big boost for Ukraine moral. Putin looks weak to the world including China?Who have territorial issues with Russia. I hate to say it Russia has been very active in the West with Assassinsations of dissidents, attacks on factorys, attacks on the French Railway system during Olympics so Russia have been in at war with the West for a long time just not directly. Germany is more afraid of attack as their army isn't as well trained or as large as other countries in Europe but if Russia cannot even defend its own borders against the Ukrainians well .....
  • @AndyFlemming
It could be a negotiation tactic. The Ukrainians can now negotiate for their territory and give Putin Kursk back. A genius move if it is.
  • So what if Western materiel is being used in Russia? The Russians are using Chinese and North Korean and Iranian weapons in Ukraine. Turnabout is always fair play.
  • @goodcitizen3638
Ukraine is pushing the frontline Eastward and should do everything possible to hold and advance the frontline away from Ukraine.
  • I dont understand the unwillingness for the west to allow Ukraine to use western equipment to strike Russia as Russia uses North Korean and Iranian missiles and munitions on Ukraine.

Ukraine show guts to the world, priceless move on all counts. Слава Україні 🇺🇦 Героям слава! ✊🔱 Разом, роби перемоги! 🇸🇪

When they ring Clarkey for an interview, Putin gets nervous.

Doesn't it also lays the opportunity for more Ukranian ambush tactics whilst the Russians re-divert their troops ??? i.e. boosts the Ukranian troop operational efficiency??? The whole war for Ukraine is about military operational efficiency, because they're way outnumbered by the Russian forces. Thus any strategies that boost operational efficiency would be surely welcomed by Ukraine ???
  • @johnwalsh4857
Russia promising retaliation haahahaha like what kind of retal???? lets see Russia threatens to invade Ukraine....AGAIN....LOL

Every single time Ukraine does anything to get the upper hand in this war a times radio host asks a million questions about Ukrainian “escalation”. This is exactly what Putin wants. Thank god Michael Clarke shut that down by pointing out that Russia has already escalated all that it can. Funny how as soon as he did, the host immediately pivoted to the Middle East. Not even a nod of agreement. Honestly, sometimes I wonder about the editorial bent of Times Radio.

The ruzzian forces already seem to be less effective than a year ago. I suppose we see the result from the huge loss of trained personnel and equipment.
