It is no secret that you have to be a citizen to vote. The debate raised by the GOP has zero basis in fact. The Constitution already says that one has to be a citizen to vote. Any legislation to say that one must be a citizen to vote is redundant, and serves only as a distraction from the heftier issues we have to deal with. In 2008, a friend of mine who was born in Japan and had lived in the US for 30 years applied for US citizenship. I asked him why he waited so long for that decision. He said that he did it at that time because he wanted to be able to vote in the 2008 election. I have photos of him swearing in as a US citizen, and I am very proud of him for making the choice.

The hate that comes out of his mouth is enough to make my hair stand. Hating his fellow Americans just because they have an opinion and view different from him is dangerous. How anyone can give him the time of day is beyond me. He has nothing good to say about anything or anyone and he is truly only consumed with hate, revenge and violence.
