My grandparents lived in Canyon. Spent every Christmas for about 15 years there! My grandpa would take me and my cousins into the canyon, it was an amazing adventure each time! I miss him every day! Not far from Canyon, Texas is Dalhart, Texas, I have family there as well and there is a fairly large canyon there too! Seeing this brings back some amazing childhood memories!!! Thanks! ~F.J.G.

Been a fan of the place all my life. Gosh, time to go again soon methinks.
-
That was very cool, I did not expect this in north Texas.

My wife and I drove through Amarillo twice on vacation (in the early 90s) and while I saw the name on the map, we didn't have a clue that something so magnificent was only a few miles to the south of us! My wife was flabbergasted at the scenery on the video, when she realized where the canyon was at! (Good job!)

That was excellent. Never thought that would be in north Texas.

I was there the last year. Beautiful places and beautiful video!

Looks like you enjoyed your time at Duro Canyon State Park. Glad you took my recommendation to come see this great spectacle!

I'm surprised Texas has this kind of stuff! Excellent video.

parabens muito bonito,obrigado.

I believe the 130 degree temperature remark is a bit of a "tall tale". The highest temperatures recorded in Texas were in Seymour (in August 1936) and Monahans (in June 1944), with both reaching 120 F.

Nice video. Like all the yokels hating on the music. The music was great reminds me of some of paul oakenfolds stuff

People calling it "North Texas".. Geographically true, but they call DFW north Texas, and that area just the Panhandle..
-
I wonder if they let people slide down the "Devil's Slide? " When I went there as a kid in the seventies, that was the highlight of any visit.
-
Very cool ride, did not know that existed!

So beautiful. I plan on visiting soon. I'm sure its worth the drive from Austin.
