    Living in SW Florida is great... Except for carving pumpkins for Halloween, they last an hour in this heat, SUCKS! We're from PA & NY where the pumpkins normally last a while; down here you have to leave em whole & paint them otherwise they're ruined overnight; if not the heat then the bugs or wildlife... I miss cold weather in fall!!! πŸ˜‚
  • Pour some lemon juice into the pumpkin, if you don't clean the guts and seeds out. Helps to cut down on the mold. Another tip is to make a hole at the back to clean out the guts and then put the plug back after you clean the plug and then put in and put lemon juice inside.

    No, the pumpkin DOES, in fact, need and benefit from the lemon-water - a quick mist spray from a bottle mixture just once or twice.
