Bob Schaefer: Old Standards Vol #8 A

I love to put this music on and go about my day. It's a constant surprise. I wanted to share a short story with you that just popped back into my head. Sometimes I play lap steel ( oldies 50's 60's ) at senior living facilities. A few weeks ago, after a gig, a woman came up to me and asked me if I ever heard of a certain kind of E harp. The first word may have even been, "Alkire" but at the time it was Greek to me and I wasn't going to see my first of your videos for a few weeks to follow. She said her deceased brother-in-law played one, gave it to her husband when he died and there it sits and then He passed away. I'll probably never see her again or remember what facility she was at but wanted to share the story with you. Take care!
