We’ve watched many great films taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the years and we couldn’t help but notice some strange rules involving some of our favorite superheroes. Today, we’re going to be talking about a few of the Marvel movie tropes it seems like we just can’t get through a movie without. For example, there’s the fact that, despite all of their differences, the Avengers all seem to agree that the best possible way to go incognito is to throw on a hooded sweatshirt, a hat and a pair of sunglasses. Everyone from Tony Stark to Scott Lang has done this at some point and, despite being arguably the most self-destructive character in the franchise, Tony Stark is one of the few characters who has managed to have a convincing romantic relationship with someone, but that’s thanks in no small part to Pepper Potts herself.

Most of us associate Peter Parker with pop culture references, but the other characters aren’t slouches in this department either. Even more reserved heroes like Doctor Strange and Bruce Banner have been known to let one slip from time to time. We’ll also talk about the one surprising life lesson it seems all of our heroes are destined to learn.

What do you think about these weird Marvel movie rules and how do you think they’ll affect the upcoming Avengers: Endgame? Make sure to share your thoughts with us in the comments section and then click on the subscribe button for more videos from us here at CBR.

Interesting fact, that civilian uniform in the MCU is an actual Hollywood staple. Virtually all actors dress in the hoodie/ball cap/shades to blend in. It genuinely works half of the time, depending on the stature of the actor. The paparazzi are masters at spotting the famous, but the general public rarely catches on. It's possibly due to the "Normalcy Bias". Imagine this: You think you saw someone famous from a glimpse, but it just seems crazy to you, so you shake it off and move on.
  • You forgot about Starlord’s dad Ego. He is the most loving, gentile, caring person in the MCU

How would it be if Captain Marvel and Spider-Man trained a new team of Avengers and have them ready for future threats like Annihilus and Galactus? How would it be if the Quantum realm suits were trainee uniforms?

That hard to see the universe as half full was a good line, gotta give you that one.
  • Actually... the MCU, especially phase 2 do a good job in humanizing their villains. The volture firmly believed that he was doing the right thing, we get to see where his story starts and we even get to see the similarities of his character with Tony stark. Thanos is an extremely 3 dimensional character who firmly believes he is in the right and is following a plan he came up with because of a sad backstory of losing his entire planet, he is consistent in his belief of the greater good and actually has a rather real world problem that he's just trying to solve the wrong way. And then there are movies like civil war, winter soldier and age if ultron where the villains are arguably either a consequence of their actions or simply the demons they cultivate. As stark wisely said: "we make out own demons". And in many instances, they did.
  • Well, Scott does point out in antman and the wasp that with sunglasses and hats that they are not disguised but that they merely, "look like themselves at a baseball game."
