US, Egypt and Qatar invite Israel, Hamas to resume talks next week

A statement from the leaders of the three mediating countries invited Israel and Hamas to resume ceasefire talks on August 15 in either Doha or Cairo. Both cities have hosted previous ceasefire talks, which have for months failed to result in a deal. “It is time to conclude a ceasefire agreement and release hostages and prisoners,” the statement said.
