Great editing and get thoughtfully composed videography. The artistic design of the architects need be applauded as well. High production value aside, I enjoy watching this as a study in capitalism, and an observation of the values of current culture. This is the apex of material pursuit. The images are the epitome of the shapes and forms that symbolize the penultimate cultural trophy. From the time we are born, we will be reminded of what success looks like in the material world. With an unwavering gaze, we will put most of our energy into acquiring that which we've been trained to covet... It doesn't matter how it's done necessarily, but we need to make at least $20 million in order to hold that ultimate symbol of success: a massive luxury house. Of the utmost importance, the stature of our house will eclipse all others, so we will be able to tell ourselves that we 'won the great game of capitalism'. In our minds, we believe that we will then attain outside permission to tell ourselves that we are actually ok as human beings... We may finally feel that deep peace which has thus far been so elusive. It's a funny game, to deny ourselves of something that is actually freely available to us all the time... We convince ourselves that it is beyond our control, and that we must 'get somewhere' or 'have something' in order to 'win back' our ability to just be grateful and satisfied and to love ourselves fully... while, in truth, that ability has been within us our entire lives -- we've just given our powers away. "When I'm in that big house, I will finally be happy, and life will be awesome." A humble word of advice to anyone who made it this far: Be very careful about giving away your internal power and ability to love yourself, no matter the outside circumstances. Keep a close watch on the influences of materialism and capitalism on your psyche... Under the layers, we're much more vast and interesting than these trivial material pursuits. I wonder if there will be a follow up video on how the housing crisis and environmental issues could be mitigated by embracing smaller, more efficient green living and home gardening...
