I know Jensen will never see this and Michael probably won’t either but while Supernatural might not have been curing cancer they got me through post natal depression and suicidal moments. That show helped distract me, comfort me and let me laugh and cry when I needed too. I will be forever thankful to the cast and crew of that show and now I’m rewatching it with my daughter who was born the same year as the show. So thank you again for giving us something else to bond, cry, laugh and overanalyse over! I’m not sure where I would be without this show. So please know it may just have been a TV show but it was a lifeline to me. Edit: thank you to everyone who has replied and shared their love for this show. I’m so glad it means as much to others as it does me. I’m thankful you reached out and that you are here as well no matter what you have been dealing with. You are important, you matter and I’m thankful for you. Michael thank you for this show it also means a lot to hear these stories from some of my favourite actors.
  • Jensen, Danneel, and Misha shooting a podcast together and NEVER releasing it is some kind of crime against humanity. I hope the three of them do some grand project together sometime. I love hearing Jensen have these conversations and the atmosphere you have!

To Jensens point about “making a TV show not curing cancer”: I watched SPN while I was fighting cancer and it was immensely comforting to have a show that was both safe/familiar but also so very rewatchable. Thank you for carrying the perspective that while the work might not tangibly change the world, your work can change the worlds of your audience in ways that can’t be articulated. Love ya Dean, stay golden.
  • The first five seasons of Supernatural is some of the best television. The entire series is good overall but the first five seasons are excellent.
  • Damn Jensen Seems like such a chill ass dude, most celebs are dickheads off screen but jensen comes off very genuine and down to earth💯

I actually teared up when Jensen said that they might not cure cancer but he's arguing that someone with cancer is in a hospital right now watching a show that's making them laugh. Because I was that person. I started a Supernatural rewatch during active treatment. It sure helped a lot.

The moment when Jensen start talking about the movie Rust, it's horrible to see him so happy about the movie and he doesn't know yet what's going to happen on set.
  • So sad hearing Jen talk about 'Rust' after it's been cancelled and all of the tragic circumstances surrounding that set, I'm so glad he's safe and home but I hate that he had to experiences all of that first hand.

Dean Winchester. Helped me overcome heroin. I was hooked for a good part of the show. My daughter found me overdosed on the floor. At 3 years old. My ex wife left me. I didn't see my daughter again for 2 years 34 days. Six hours and 34 minutes. I got clean. Around 2013. It was the hardest thing ive ever done. Supernatural. Taught me the raw power of grit and determination. It taught me loss is life. But family is life. It also taught me family isn't always blood. I fought. I bled. I had pains in my bones that made me cry while my friend dabbed my head with a cool cloth. Then one day. It was over. The nightmare wasn't complete. But the withdrawal stopped. I made it. I was on.." house arrest " until i could prove i wasn't going to go get heroin. So for 6 months. I waited. I watched netflix. DVDs. Etc etc. Supernatural was very present. It helped me. And a weird thing started happening. I'm not religious. I'm not saying god did this. Every time i was at my breaking point. Or a tradgedy. A temptation. Somewhere. Somehow. " carry on my wayward son" would play on radio. Ads. Tv. Someone's ringtone. For YEARS. This happened. Still. Occasionally. It happens. My mom died in August of 2019. Driving home. My new wife. Turned on the radio. While our new daughter fell asleep in her carseat. The song played again. It's like. Somewhere somehow Someone's telling me to carry on. I always will. Someday there will be peace. So. Micheal. Jensen. Jared. Anyone on that show. Your work matters. More than you can possibly imagine.

Rosenbaum is the best Lex in any medium. He did something with that character that even the comics couldn't do. He tricked you into caring about him. His Lex made you want to give him a second chance. It's that charisma that is a key element to Lex's character in the comics but Rosenbaum is the only person to ever reveal that so well.

Jensen was talking about how he got to say, "I'm Batman," but I remember he got to say that earlier. There was a Supernatural episode where the brothers were trying to deal with a cursed rabbit foot. Sam was tied up, Dean barges in and because he had the rabbit's foot, he took out these two guys, looked at Sam and said, "I'm Batman." To which Sam replied, "Yeah... you're Batman..."
  • I feel like Jessica and Jensen's relationship are just like Max and Alec on the show. They bicker like crazy on the show so that was probably their real life relationship seeping onto their chracters as well haha... plus they still have each other's back when the time comes so.... i'm glad they're good friends now. he even wished her happy 40th on her recent birthday!
  • He is just so chill and down to earth and yet so talented. Cannot wait for The Boys!! RIP Halyna Hutchins.
  • @ginime_
I'm not gonna pretend to know anything about Jensen on a deeper level than what he shares with us, but listening and laughing along with this interview feels like laughing with a good friend
  • @SouthCountyGal
I like how Jensen keeps saying "this is no secret," like he's assuring himself that he's not breaching any confidentiality contracts (professional or personal).
  • @JoysJourney2012
I can tell you Supernatural has gotten me through the roughest days. Not curing cancer, but has brought a great fandom together with so much love. Looking forward to watch Jensen and the family in everything they do ❤
  • @SunRayeCorey
I remember Eric Kripke tweeted that his purpose in life was to make sure Jensen had work.
  • @jeffbandy7065
Jensen seems to be one of the coolest, down to earth, easily relatable mega stars that you could have a beer with and watch a football game! Dude is so chill! Still not happy how they did my boy Dean, and he'll always be a Winchester to me....but I am 1000000% stoked to see him in The Boys! My teenage boys and I started watching just because I heard Jensen was going to be on season 3 and we're so glad we did! #spnforever

Jensen should get every role that he wants, he is that good of an actor!
