I will never hear a Jim Reeves song without thinking of my sister Grace, who passed 3 years ago. Not only did she know ever word of each of his songs, she could sing as if she were on the record with him. In many ways she taught me to love Jim Reeves as much as I love Queen. It's impossible not to smile with tears in my eyes. Memories of growing up with only an AM radio that couldn't pick up a clean sound for over a minute, then hearing the crystal smooth voice of Jim Reeves on our first record player. Good music that brings sweet memories are the real treasures in life.

I am sitting with my Mom in her Hospice Room and playing Jim Reeves for her to hear. He is her very favourite singer. I watch her now and although she can no longer speak I can see her eyes moving up and down and side to side. I know she hears the music and I take great comfort in knowing she is comforted by the voice of Jim Reeves. She will pass soon but I swear I can see her smiling. RIP Mommy. I love you.

I remember these songs when my late Dad use to play them on the radiogram when I was a little girl. I love Jim Reeves' voice it was and still is beautiful. Now I am older these songs make me smile and cry at the same time now that I know what they mean. I grew up listening to this kind of music as well as classical etc and have always enjoyed it very much. Jim Reeves voice is eternal...

I loved Jim's songs from as far back as 1972 when my roomate played them on her recordplayer. I am now 74 years old and still love his voice.
