  • Bought his records in 1965 and onwards and still have them. One of the best country singers ever born. Sad that he left us so early in his and our lives.

There will only be one Jim Reeves for eternity. Only Jim can make my woofers rattle with that gorgeous baritone voice! Thank you, Radio Ceylon, for bringing his music to us.

On July 31, 1964, Jim Reeves died in a plane crash along with Dean Manuel, his pianist and manager. Their small plane crashed during a storm while approaching Nashville. A monument was erected to him in Texas in 1965.
  • There is only one Jim Reeves and there will NEVER EVER be another Jim. With all my love from South Africa!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
  • Jim's songs were introduced to me in the sixties by my Dad in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Loved his voice and music then and still listening to his music today. Am listening from Melbourne, Australia.

The number of performers, that died in plane and motor crashes is sadness incarnate. Reeves was no exception. Brings back over 70 years of memories.
