On July 31, 1964, Jim Reeves died in a plane crash along with Dean Manuel, his pianist and manager. Their small plane crashed during a storm while approaching Nashville. A monument was erected to him in Texas in 1965.

Jim's songs were introduced to me in the sixties by my Dad in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Loved his voice and music then and still listening to his music today. Am listening from Melbourne, Australia.
