Bob Chapek has been fired by the board of The Walt Disney Company, and in his place is the return of the previous Disney CEO, Bob Iger. This is a massive change to Disney in response to the company's failures and controversies since 2020. With Bob Chapek fired, a brand new future awaits.

  • After his little comment about animation being for kids, he was really just fueling the fire for his firing. It’s putting someone who thinks adults hate video games in charge of Nintendo!
  • Let's hope the new Disney CEO actually loves, respect and understand Animation. It's the biggest reason why Disney is so popular.
  • Oof. After saying animation is "just for kids", I feel like he deserved it. Now, we just need for animation companies, and grown-up cartoon fans to make it clear that animation is for EVERYONE.

First He Got Fired, And Now He's Being Sued! He Truly Deserves That…

Finally, a little positive breath of air for Disney
  • Finally! A CEO who doesn’t bring Disney down as a company!

I hope the new CEO restore Disney to its former glory. If only Walt Disney was alive, he wouldn't be impressed with what's going on. RIP man.
  • I kinda hope this means Owl House might get more episodes. I know that sounds REALLY unlikely, but the new CEO might work out a deal with Dana, like give it a full 3rd season but has to scrap the original plans.
  • Honestly, no company should ever hire any politicized CEO, regardless of which end of the spectrum is. Any CEO should be focused on business!

    Quality over Quantity LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  • Wow. If I had a nickle every time Bob Iger became the CEO of the Walt Disney company, I would have 2 nickles. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it has happened twice. (Edit: even if this would be temporary according to the video) But seriously, this is such amazing news to hear about, especially regarding animation. Seriously? "Animation is just for kids"? Did Chapek not know what Walt Disney himself said about animation in general?
  • Even though my support for Disney as a company has fallen in years. This is still one moment where I have to commend the executives for recognizing a problem that was only going to get worse down the line, growing a pair to make the risky, yet necessary decision to oust Chapek. Now, here’s hoping Iger’s new successor will take the right path where Chapek did not..
  • I’m glad we got the real Bob back as CEO, Karma really has struck Chapek after that interview, and I’m loving it.
  • I sure hope to God this means we’re gonna get a better CEO for Disney.
