Somerville is made by someone who helped make INSIDE and LIMBO. It's an incredible game about an alien invasion

Check out that ultrawide aspect ratio baby!! :_septiceyeShock:
  • It makes me so happy that game developers realized that people love companions like dogs. Like the dog can do absolutely nothing but it brings the player so much joy and gives them a sense to protect. I just love it
  • @LucumLuftra
Can we just be in awe at the fact the jack said "remember when I was getting dog food" and then the game responded with "remember when you were getting dog food"
  • @izzyreese9606
no one: me: constantly worried about the dog as soon as he's out of frame

Honestly, if I was the main character, the most terrifying thing in this whole experience wouldn't be losing my family or the aliens trying to kill me, it would be the underwater sections where you have to dive not knowing how far air is.

Can we just appreciate for a moment that Dino left one company to set up his own and called it "Jump Ship"?
  • Me: worried about the dog any time it goes missing from the frame Jack: WHOOO ALIENS

I loved the ending. I think it is an accurate portrayal of how we might interact with aliens. We either submit, fight, or figure out how to talk to each other.
  • 1:12:58 jack just described the whole terminator franchise “did people from the future come back in time to destroy and other people didn’t agree so they came back in time to stop them” “ nah that doesn’t make any sense”
  • @lynx4082
Jack casually admitting he despises everyone in England was not what I was expecting
  • Love how Seán says he’s more worried about the dog than the toddler, but when the dog is gone he doesn’t notice. Yet when the toddler so much as steps away he immediately goes into dad mode and tries to pick him up.
  • "overthink things, get sad. Realise things don't have to be that complicated, figure it out, feel ashamed that you overthought it". This is literally me. I love how honest Sean is about life. Been following since 2016 and have seen him get older as I have gotten older. It is so comforting seeing him going through life and have a very similar experience. Also, this game is beautiful!
  • Sometimes I lose my mind as Jack misses the simplest of clues or an item, then sometimes he wraps lights around a tree and blows my mind as I realize that it would’ve taken me much longer to figure that out
  • The fact that Sean just completed God of War Ragnarok and immediately went on to another game AND completed it for our entertainment is just so fascinating. I would've taken a long break after playing such a banger of a game if I were him. Just the amount of hard work he puts into each of these videos amazes me. Love you, bro💖
  • Telling a story without using a single line of dialogue has got to take hell of a lot of effort.
  • @k.a.stensson
"Dude, remember when I was bringing dog food out of the basement" A few seconds later.. he's back at the dog food.. lol.. epic timing. 🤣

Can I just take a moment to appreciate the drum set talk at 58:45. One of my brothers is a drummer and it reminded me of days when we would sit on the livingroom floor and he would go over every piece of the drum he was cleaning and tuning. It's a nice warm trip down memory lane and I appreciate that.

I just Googled it and he actually missed one of the endings. There seems to be 4 in total. The last one is that he sacrifices himself for his family to live on in the real world because they were taken into a simulation, not killed. He had to use all of his energy to allow them to escape and dies afterwards.

''If the baby dies okay, but if the dog dies WE HAVE A PROBLEM.''
  • man.... this guy is so incredibly lucky he got the powers in his arm instead of something like his left nut... IMAGINE how much more complicated this would be if the power was ANYWHERE other then his hand
