Spring is here! Its been raining all of March, and now that its April, I'm getting antsy to get out into the garden. I wanted to gather some more pots to add to my front porch spring display of multiple spring blooming pots on either side of the steps. Soon the tulips, daffodils, and hyacinth will be bursting with color. So lets go shopping for some new pots. We visit both Ocean State Job Lot, and Marshalls. Also, it was time to get the Peony rings up, as well as add some fresh compost and fertilizer to some overwintered roses. Come hang out with me and have a day of spring gardening related fun. I think it is a great idea to plant in groups like that, it will be beautiful I'm sure. We have had rain, hail, sleet and snow this week, so not feeling like getting outside and doing any planting, will be closer to May before I do anything, love watching other people though, keep up the good work, you have the most amazing yard I have ever seen!!

Roses do really well in the ground in full sun in our area which is in 9B. It does get too warm although the roses do better outdoors in full sun & in the ground

Great deals on those pots, especially the scallop ones; they look like bergs pottery and if so, they are expensive. I can’t wait to see you plant them all up. Your front door is going to look super inviting.
