Northern California wildfire explodes in size, arson suspect arrested

The Park Fire, which broke out Wednesday afternoon near Chico, California, exploded in size overnight. It grew to more than 71,000 acres by Thursday, making it California's largest wildfire so far this year. A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of starting the blaze. Jonathan Vigliotti reports from Chico.

  • I am posting this on couple places. His name is Ronnie Dean Stout of Chico Ca. He is a registered sex offender and he pushed his car into a ditch while it was on fire and ran off!

    About time they arrested someone on these. The pattern is so similar to the 1970's and 80's when there was a serial arsonist. He turned out to be a Fire Investigator for the Glendale Fire Department.
  • I feel sorry for all the people that have to deal wifh forest fires. It barely rains in California.

    This fire grew to 70,000 acres in less than 24 hours! That is not normal!
