The fact that people still compare this 8 year old game to something that was released this month shows that GTA 5 was a true masterpiece.
-
Matrix Awakens is what everyone thought Cyberpunk would be
-
-
If matrix has this level of realism, then imagine GTA VI
-
To be honest, GTA v was designed on an engine from over a decade ago. And it's still impressive at how well it works compared to today's technology.
-
The Matrix Awakens looks absolutely incredible
-
Matrix Awakens graphics are truly revolutionary, some shots literally look like real life, this is the closest we've ever been to real life graphics
-
3:01 no way itβs so real
-
That's quite impressive how we can still compare 2013 game with 2021
-
Some of these shots from the Matrix genuinely look like someone just took a few drone shots outside. it's incredible how detailed and accurate the environment can look.
-
9:11 this scene right here honestly looked like real life for a second π³
-
8:05 GTA IV is still underrated.
-
Funny how the game made with an engine to revolutionize graphics is about the Matrix
-
I love this music. Itβs so nostalgic already π

The door on the left at 3:44 is amazing just leading straight outside of the building. But I believe the interior in Matrix are also 2D(ish) as well just with some knifty camera tricks to make them seem 3D.
-
3:26 one day I hope you can see npcs inside of doing daily routines
-
The fact that GTAV was released almost 9 years ago, it just proves how ahead of itβs time it was. One of the best games of all time. The Matrix is also a work of art and I canβt wait to play it.

I like how instead of increased graphical fidelity (which we're also getting btw), the next generation of hardware is putting more emphasize on seamless immersion. Game developers now can focus more on the actually implementing unique ideas into their game instead of worrying too much about optimization or "how do we hide this texture" or "should we make long corridor to hide the loading screen". Imagine what they can come up with now that this restriction is no longer there to drag down their development time.
