A timely upload ahead of Nöel!

Perhaps, the best rendition (IMHO) of I saw Three Ships, sung by the choir of King's College, Cambridge under the directorship of Philip Ledger in 1978.

The origin of this carol is surprisingly recent, first mentioned in the 17th century but the current day lyrics were supplied by William Sandys in 1833. The tune is known by a different nomenclature - As I sat on a Sunny Bank - in the West Country.

The video introduction motions upward panel 23 of the beautiful stained glass of King's College Chapel, Cambridge depicting St Paul's ship.

Enjoy!
