8:03 Neytiri says "a son for a son". After she says that the way she turns/tilts her head without breaking her gaze is rather haunting, and her facial expression was as if she was asking Quaritch what he thought about that but with such malevolence. I find it rather freaky. This is yet another testament to Saldana's impeccable acting!!

The way she drops the rug at 4:07 is such a good piece of physical comedy, I laughed out loud in the theatre. She is SO over it haha
  • She’s scary when she’s mama angry, Zoe did amazing like always
  • Zoe Saldana is absolutely the stand out performance in these movies. She had me in tears countless times, plus she's a complete badass.

I love it when she went all feral with those human soldiers after the death of Neteyam. A mother's rage caused by her child's death is truly scary.
  • “When I first met your father, I was trying to kill him” You knew she was a keeper from that moment

Felt so bad for Neytiri, she lost her father and her first born son to her enemies. Despite these losses, she does whatever she could to stay strong and defend those around her. Strong woman, warrior and mother.

Neytiri carries this whole franchise on her shoulder. She is such a great character with one of the saddest backstories I know.
  • The only downside was there’s NOT ENOUGH neytiri scenes this time round. Zoe Slayed it once again
  • 7:25 the fear in his eyes says everything about his character and how he is defiantly not the same man as the first movie. honestly i think he is going to be one of the good guys.
  • The head tilt she does after saying “a son for a son” without breaking eye contact with Quaritch is the best scene in the movie and probably one of best potrayals of maternal vengence and rage in modern cinema.

This is the only movie so far when I see a depiction of a mother not only grieving for the murder of her child but also being so astronomically angry she becomes terrifying. Zoe Saldana's performance was absolutely phenomenal.

2:26 Neytiri: Demon, I will kill you as many time as I have to. Best lines i hear from Zoe Saldaña in Avatar Ways of The Water

8:23 It's actually terrifying how her face contorts and changes and doesn't look like any other antagonistic facial expression she's made. It's pure hatred and rage and its captured beautifully, although somewhat scarily😅
  • She is seen to have a good relationship with her youngest child and cares for her well-being and her safety as she does with all her children. This is seen when she is flying to the Metkayina village and has Tuk with her and shelters her from the harsh elements and lets her sleep inside her cloak on the long journey. It is also seen that she cares very deeply for her safety such as when Tuk fell down a flooding doorway and into the sinking SeaDragon. Neytiri jumped in to save her and tried to find a way out and comforted her when she said she was scared.
