WHAT IS THE ASK PROJECT?
▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
Do you want to know what Israelis and Palestinians really think about the conflict? Ask a question and I will get answers. All answers are from random people and all answers are included and unedited. The questions come from you, the viewers.

WHY DO I DO THIS?

As a Palestinian , I am ashamed of some of the answers. Specially the guy that said Hitler was a hero.. Seriously!? Have we lost our humanity!!? Just shameful.
  • @hughjanus4665
I’m a Palestinian and this is very shameful for us. I learned about him through my Jewish friends and have never formed a gross opinion like this about him.
  • @Short_Shots
“He tried to expand his country this is something natural” does he not see the irony
  • @cl9615
People have to also realize that they were willing to say these things on camera. Imagine what they actually believe and what they would say if you asked them off camera and in confidence.
  • @paradise8023
The guy who said Hitler is a hero confuses me. He speaks in Russian and Hitler was a bit unpopular among Russians from what I understand. He then said it was natural for leaders to expand their country which sounds a bit like what Palestinians main criticism of Israel is.
  • @minademar
As a Jewish person, the Palestinians in the comments warm my heart ❤️ My heart aches for the occupied and I hope humanity will finally see suffering of one as everyone’s suffering
  • @theholidaylady1
It sounds to me like most of them don't really know very much about Hitler.
  • @A.Mardle
If you asked the same question in other parts of the world, with guaranteed anonymity, you might get far more disturbing answers than you expected...
  • Notice how nobody mentioned that he hated and brutalized Jewish people. And the one person who did said it immediately, and with a smile on his face. The situation is so so so much worse than I could have ever imagined.
  • @galdekel4992
The fact that they even need to think when asked about Hitler..
  • As a German this is especially interesting for me to watch. Thanks for showing.
  • @brekedekdang39
Unfortunately, lack of education seems to be a big reason for this conflict.
  • @pepsimarch
I've never really understood what drives the admiration for Hitler and the Nazis among Arabs and Palestinians. They shouldn't be generalized, obviously, but the phenomenon is very prevalent—enough for one to wonder if these people even realize that they were ultimately seen by the Nazis as subhumans (𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯) and that their mutual hatred of the Jewish people wouldn't have changed that. I'm not Jewish or Israeli, but it's so absurd seeing how blatant antisemitism like this somehow successfully disguises itself as anti-Zionism.

The thing is it is very easy to pinpoint everthing to one man, one leader. Hitler only had power because all the people around him enabled him to. People forget very poignant things, such as the fact many of the 'laws' or bills passed by German parliament during NAZI regime were shaped by public sentiment, not just the crazed dreaming of a sole man. The scariest thing wasn't Hitler and it never is under any leadership historically.....the true horror was on the countless people including the public who enabled a party to have total power and a public that joyfully went along with the horrors of the Nazi party.

Thank you Corey Gil-Shuster - your videos on Isrealis and on Palestinians' opinions are so insightful. They answer so many questions I have. These are difficult questions, questions my books usually do not answer. Please keep on with your "The ask project". You are doing a very important job because this is how peace works - it is about listening to each other and trying to understand what and why the other person thinks the way they do.Trying to understand what personal experiences shaped those thoughts, even if we do not agree with these people, be it an Israel or an Palestinian, or even if we do not understand how they came to that sort of conclusion, it is so important to listen to them, to listen to both sides.
  • @LavenderandLinen
Some of these answers prove that the last man’s statement is untrue. Hitler’s ideology most definitely did not die with him. It is sadly alive and thriving today.
  • @RaniaW-be2zl
3:48 this is not what she said.. she didnt say "jokingly", the word she said and you translated as "jokingly" was "some times/some of the times" they were good, because some people have to be eliminated, but his flaw/sin is that he killed an entire nation and people, you dont kill entire groups like that." even the translation at the end where the lady says itsbad to kill someone based on their religion is false. headscarf Lady didn't say that. what she basically said was "some of them were bad, but its wrong to kill entire groups of people like that"
  • And then people are wondering why there is no peace between Israel and palestine...
  • Your video are very insightful. I am writing a research essay and will refer your videos as my sources of specific information
