i was already crying at the ending in the cinema but when i heard "I thought I could protect you from paying for my sins" i just cried even harder
  • when that song started playing at the movies i literally got goosebumps
  • The Weeknd really shows the effort he puts in this video and into the song, it's something truly beatiful
  • After the movie ended , I just sat on the seat for just hear this song .... That give a full goosebumps of the full movie.... No complain that The Weekend has the best music ❤️👌

If you truly focus in the lyrics and have watched the movie, the song is only highlighting the ending and nothing else. It’s talking about the Sully’s pain and experience after that event. Particularly Jake with how it talks about defending those and everything he loves. Almost as it the lyrics are connected to the third iteration and probably will be a serious topic of discussion for the next one. Abel knew what he was doing lyrically. Amazingly written. Great and Song and an extraordinary Movie!

This song expresses deep love and a willingness to sacrifice everything for the person you love. The lyrics mention that Weeknd wanted to protect the person from their own sins, but now they know they can only protect them by giving their own life. The singer is willing to fight for their loved one because they give them strength. They are willing to be with the person whether they die or live, as love can overcome any pain.

I think we can all agree that Abel is this generation's most talented artist. His songs never disappoint.
  • I really hope The Weeknd gets nominated for original score at the Oscar’s . The Weeknd and James Cameron definitely outdid themselves with this . The visual effects is everything

It’s so harmonizing, the visuals are amazing and dazzling. I get shivers at that chorus every time and it’s a feeling that I just can’t help but enjoy. You can see the power.
  • This doesnt get much attention but the Production with the choir sample is so incredibly beautiful. I get insane goosebumps every time I hear it.
  • This movie and the first Avatar are the only movies that will make me cry no matter how many times I watch it. The soundtrack hits you right in the feels too. Edit: And after hearing this song I had it on repeat and have not listened to another song on my phone for a week
