A diet of leverets will not be enough to sustain a growing pup or feed an entire wolf pack, so bigger prey is needed. The problem is bigger prey like the Hare are incredibly agile and can run up to speeds of 60 km per hour. If this wolf pack are not going to go hungry, they will need to hunt as a unit.

Pups are hungry, chewing each other tails, pushing mama wolf, that little howl from the pup was superb... That dramatic chase was intense... Real hardwork & wait for the whole BBC EARTH team...

Looks like the wolves has more calorie burned than calorie input from the hare...
  • BBC Earth has the best camera work, of course David is in his own league.
  • @asianangler
that's like an appetizer for 4 wolves to share....
  • @pacyguy
Omg that was so intense but the hare broke their ankles like 5 times 😂😅😅👏

There's no hiding place/objects convenient for ambush & white hair, easy to spot the presence each other. An unsual setup, but both prey & predator find life there. Genius is nature.

“Run run run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the speedy hare man!”
  • Love how the soundtrack was in perfect sync with hare's jump in the beginning of the video

Does anyone know how they capture this so well? The video footage is just mind blowing!!
  • @3.14. Impeccable audio quality at first. You can hear the shaggy coats of the wolves rustling. You can actually hear the hare licking its lips once its got away.... Once. Then when they catch it, someone through immersion out the window again. Bites weren't even timed properly.

Canines are so vicious, when a feline catches its prey it suffocates it first and then starts eating, but these wolves just start ripping the thing apart
