The #GenesisG80 was the first vehicle to wear the Genesis badge and while the gas models were redesigned in 2021, for 2023 the #G80Electrified is the first all-electric version of the #G80 family. It uses the same 800 Volt quick charging system as the #GenesisGV60, however with a larger battery pack and more torque than it’s gas siblings, the #GenesisG80Electrified is an enticing options that is a bargained priced electric luxury sedan for those of you looking for that.

Happy Monday everyone! Just wanted to let you know, Genesis has announced final pricing for this car, it starts at $80,920 including destination. The car in the video had just one option, the $1500 matte white paint finish. Sadly, it no longer qualifies for the $7,500 federal tax credit due to being produced in Korea and having an MSRP over the $55,000 cap. This now makes this car about $8,000 more than the 3.5T V6. Would you guys still go for the electrified version over the gas V6?

An EV that has an interior not trying to mimic a spaceship. Well done Genesis!

I honestly prefer vehicles like this over the Tesla because the build quality is there. Hyundai/Genesis build quality is excellent for their price points.

The exterior design of the Genesis G80 is absolutely stunning.

Genesis is killing it. Can't wait for the G70 electrified 😁

I'm loving what Genesis is putting inside their EVs, looks way nicer than most EVs I've seen from other companies. I hope they can keep that up for years to come and not just throw a big-ass tablet in there for everything.

Hey Sofyan, thanks for the awesome review! I watch and enjoy all your videos. You are a true automotive journalist. I am a former G80 Sport 3.3t owner, which was an outstanding car. Currently driving a Tesla Model Y, but I would go back to the G80 electric in a heartbeat once it becomes available in Florida. Hopefully soon.
  • This looks to be the second best overall luxury EV after the Lucid Air. So nice. The Model S may beat it in range but the G80 smokes it in luxury for about $30k less!

I wish more car companies would do this to their ev line ups

If I actually ever had the money for a car of this price range, I'd certainly consider this car. The only thing I didn't see is whether it has a digital number speedometer or just the "analog" look. But I like the power and that it is comfortable and quite. For me, that is a trifecta of goodness!
  • I have watch many videos on this car and I still learned some stuff. Excellent, much appreciated!

I like the battery temp gauge on the left. When you first started you were about 1/3, at the end about 4/5 up the gauge. Nice to show from DC charging did warm up the battery, hence why you were getting better rates later.

I want you to review the new G90! And I’m so ready for a G80 Coupe. That would be sick!! Electric or V6😩
