The white 2021 Toyota Supra was his dream car. He saved his money, working two jobs for well over a year, and even took out a loan from his credit union. He spent months trying to find one and finally spotted an ad online for a used one for $57,000 at a used car dealership in El Cajon.

That dream was soon dashed.

If a dealership wont let you test drive a vehicle, walk away immediately.

😂 bro literally went car shopping for the first time and did everything wrong Money spent emotionally leads to mistakes.

He learned a valuable lesson while he's young. This will save him from many problems for the rest of his life.

I hope Hector wins the case. This is beyond fucked up.

Feel bad for this dude. Yeah obviously, huge mistake to not do any research....but he's human and can sympathize with the emotion of getting a dream car and having blinders on. Hopefully he finds some justice.

This is what happens when you make major purchases with “emotions” on instead of treating it as a purely business transaction
  • Remember, just because there are no accidents REPORTED on a Carfax report, that does NOT mean that the car has not been in an accident.

I'd be teary eyed too if I left a dealership with a $700 month car payment.

NEVER BUY A CAR OR MARRY SOMEONE WITHOUT TRYING IT OUT FIRST. 😂

A used car salesman ripped off a girlfriend of mine once. Sold her a car and the power steering was leaking, he basically said too bad it is your car now. A couple of years later I read that someone came into his used car dealership and he was shot and killed. I guess he was still ripping people off up until that happened.

Am I'm the only one extremely shocked that this car is going for 57k used? I thought he was about to say he bought it for 20k or so
  • @Stalkerx13
The huge red flag here was that the dealer didn't let him test drive the car. If a dealer doesn't let me test drive a car there is no way in hell I will be buying the car.
  • @humblebee367
Not being able to test drive was the 1st red flag.

What is this guy thinking 700/month + insurance is like 900+/month when he only had 6k to put down he should have just got a used civic and saved money instead of drowning in debt … that car is going to put him underwater

I feel so bad for Hector. 🙁 Saving and working hard for so long and this happens. I have been looking at cars and now I'm really scared.

Let me tell you, I worked at a dealership for a while, and the salesmen LOOOOOOVE Latino immigrants because they believe they can get over on them pretty easily. Don't be a mark, assume that any car salesman is a crook, because 99% of them actually are. You think they're bad, no, they're actually WORSE than you think. Do not trust those people.

That attorney’s parachute suit is the real crime here
  • @alexp3889
Man that lawyer's suit is definitely SOMETHING!!! LMFAO!

When I first expressed interest in my Supra, the agent handed me the key without even taking any of my info. Drove it on the freeway, in the streets, and did some hard braking and accelerations. Took it back to the dealership, and that is when we started talking. Nowadays, we should be hella skeptical about everything, especially a dealer who doesn't want you to take it for a spin.
