A big factor in comedy is timing. The fact that he stutters and still has great timing is a true testament to how talented he is!

As an aspiring Speech Therapist, I now fully plan to use phrases like this and then stare blankly like I don’t understand the problem with this perfectly good speech exercise 🤷🏽‍♀️
  • @djlansing2724
"..cause I want my problems to sound good" OMFG I FELL OUT MY CHAIR!
  • @funnyguru910
"No, we're back to talkin" is a punchline I live for.
  • @xenonhawk9748
I was ready for "touching turtles for ten thousand" to turn into another speech exercise.

4:31 at first I heard " you cannot touch the sea turtles here or they will find you". I was like, woahh, those are some ambitious turtles 😂

I've loved Drew since he was on America's got talent! He needs a Netflix special.
  • @d0shie
As usual, he never fails to utilize his stutter for his sets. However, I REALLY like that he gives equal attention to every member of the audience. You can see him turning to a different direction every now and then. He really knows how to work the crowd.

How scary must it be to have a stutter and try and do stand up? He writes objectively good jokes, so that helps. But damn, gotta admire the balls on this guy
  • @amelia7960
"I don't appreciate you assuming that I have a history of touching turtles" PLEASE I STARTED WHEEZING
  • "I go to speech therapy and regular therapy because I want my problems to sound good." This guy has EXCELLENT delivery. I laughed out loud. Everybody in the house is asleep. Well-- they WERE.
  • @nirdyberd
"And i woke up the next day and so now i have a career" got me lmao
  • @ohthatsjosh
As someone who developed a speech impediment that’s pretty similar from a head injury, this is actually one of the most uplifting and hilarious things I have seen.
  • @marinavelaz
As someone who provides speech therapy and attends regular therapy, this is GOLD!

The Mario bit was the perfect wrap on that set. Very funny bit.

The thing I love about Drew is that he is genuinely a top level comedian. The stutter in no way is a gimmick, his jokes are fantastic.
  • As a former plumber and current day construction worker. I can safely say this is the most goddamn hilarious thing I've ever heard in my freaking life!!!!
