It's better to buy second hand original copies at lower price than buying Pirated copies at same price range if u r buying English books which are published atleast 5 to 10 years ago

Don't care if it's pirated or not as long as they are in readable condition. As a book lover, i prefer the accuracy of the book's content. If the content is sabotaged or compromised, I shall talk to Flipkart/ Amazon's customer care then only. Also I'm always in a budget. Hence knowing that I will recieve a pirated version only, I ordered Harry Potter 's book set just at Rs 1400 from Amazon. If I get torned pages or missing pages between, i will raise my voice then only.

Very interesting, I have never heard of that before. Maybe because in Germany a book costs the same everywhere (except on used sites of course). 🤔

There’s a lockdown going on where I live and all bookshops are closed… ordering books from Amazon for flipkart just gives me so much anxiety that what if I bought a pirated copy

Quite agree with you. If you're an extensive reader, it's quite easy to spot the differences in a pirated copy versus the original. A new book being sold at dirt cheap price? Always a red flag.
