Grant Amato Day 6 Witnesses: Richard Ruth, Edgar Perez & Eric Brothers

I think allowing the jury to ask questions keeps them engaged throughout the trial. I'm impressed by the quality ques being asked

Spoiler if you have not watched previous testimony! RE-Cell phone data. It showed that Cody had called home and he was on the phone for about 20 minutes. I believe he was talking to Grant. I think Cody had tried to call his parents cell phones, got no answer and then called land line. Cody's best friend testified that he clocked out 15 minutes before he HAD to "leaving money on the table" which his friend said he would normally never have done. He stated he thought it was unusual. He said Cody did not seem alarmed, but he still thought it unusual that Cody to chose to leave early. When he tried the cell phone lines twice at 9:16 and got no answer, and then called land line- I imagine Grant answered and gave some weird reason as to why Cody could not talk to his mom or dad, like perhaps they went to a late dinner which Cody would have thought weird. Thus, he decided to go home early wherein he was shot entering the back door.

It’s not as bad in this video, but the judges typing on her computer with her nails is driving me bananas!!!!

Edgar Perez sure answered all the questions really well and clear.

When the defense acts so arrogant, I as a juror would notice that and take it for as they are trying to keep their heads above water. I cant believe how rude this defense is

Because Grant used to work in an O.R.- I bet that he had hospital shoe coverings and he wore those when he shot his family, as well as hospital scrubs, hat, mask, and coat when he shot. That may be how there was no blood present on his shoes as well as no tread marks on the floor. Obviously he also puled Cody forward while standing at his head. I just can't figure our how he flipped his father over without stepping in blood. But I know he was fully aware of how to protect himself from blood, and how to clean things that had has DNA on it. I would not be surprised if he had stolen special cleaning solution from the hospital. This is based on the fact he had his dad's credit cards photographed in December of 2018. It seems he had this planned for a bit.

When I first viewed Grant's interrogation- BEFORE the trial. I thought he was not guilty, or at minimum- had a blackout where he may not have remembered killing his family. I also almost bought that it was a mob like hit on his family for non repayment of money. After Day 2 of testimony, that changed. Defense did a great job initially of creating reasonable doubt, but as more evidence has been shown and especially the cell phone data- as well as absence of DNA or smudges on Chad (fathers) cell phone- it has become pretty clear who is responsible for the deaths.

Overkill on Perez qualifications

First time I truly understood all the ins and outs of dna! Amazing explanation for people who dont understand science.

Imagine having to listen to this guy tell you what his job is and explain dna science for 30 mins, this is how to numb the jury, by the time he actually gives any testimony they will be well disengaged

ATTN POLICE DETECTIVE INTERROGATORS- Please get CAMERAS that can show the persons face straight on during interrogation- it will help jury's decide better on person's state of mind. Seeing on overhead shot does not show the facial expressions or eye contact which can serve well.

Did the ME testify on the wounds that the victims suffered? I missed it and can't find it.

I cannot believe they did not do a metallurgical analysis of the rounds found from the victims, compared with the rounds left in that bag from the friend who had the Jericho firearm stolen.

Why do all the videos of this trial have the sound of either a rather heavy rainfall or a super leaky pipe going on in the background? It's really weird.
