I compiled a bunch of scenes that I really like from a bunch of video games and put them all in one video as a tribute for how much they have been with me throughout my life. From my childhood to my adulthood I always found video games to not only be just video games but stories that provoke emotion and with such beauty that is too powerful to even talk about. It was a huge part of my life and I have always wanted to make a video like this simply not for profit but for me personally and anybody who finds these games as infinitely as facisnating as they are to me.

  • Video Games in general sparked my love of creativity. Mainly my love of stories, how they can vary, how differently they can be told, etc. Though I certainly have gained a love for creativity in general. To call so many things a form of art feels to me, a way of underselling so much. To call all those things, works of creativity, truly sells them. A drawing is not just a collection of colors. A book is not just a collection of words. A picture is formed from ideas that were birthed in a human mind, and put into visible form. A book is written from ideas that were also birthed in a human mind, put into readable form. We put pieces of ourselves in what we make. Whether it be writing, drawing, coding, building, and oh so much more, there will always be pieces of us involved in creation. Whether it's visibly there, or not.

Every time I see the scene where Arthur Morgan says to the nun "Im afraid" it looks just like my dads eyes when he was dying from cancer. Crushes me every time. That looks of trying to be so strong, but being so scared of what you know you cannot stop.
  • @theguy4542
There's something profound about seeing strong characters break...reminds us of our own humanity...we're all just trying to make it...trying to find the light in the darkness...
  • @gs7391
If there is one thing I've learnt from red dead redemption 2 it is to live as a good man and die as one
  • Arthur is one of the most realistic main characters of a game imo, because he has flaws and fears, and he struggles with things similar to us, like accepting reality. He is truly human.
  • Kojima was right. Video games sparked a number of interests in me. Devil May Cry, in particular Vergils Yamato sparked an interest in blacksmithing and sword craft. God of War sparked my interest in weightlifting and physical training. Hunting games like Cabela’s Alaskan adventures sparked my interest in camping and wilderness survival
  • @sam_bowles
Any part with Arthur got me, red dead redemption 2 is the most emotional game ever
  • Im so glad that the most immersive form art is now being respected as such.
  • @nat2829
Games are not only for enjoyment, but to experience multiple lifes that we will never experience..
  • @EuDirijo051
"It would mean a lot to me... Please" Yeah, i can't, almost five years but haven't got over it yet. RIP Arthur Morgan
  • @jackakascko
Finishing a good game is like finishing a good book, u just sit there with your own thoughts regreting its over.. enough said, games are a higher form of art
  • @gdept88
Seeing Chief try to relate to a regular human is heartbreaking.
  • @cheezzslize39
To get the real feeling you have to had go through all of this games..
  • @eragon190
Each of these games means something different to each of us. The lessons learned, the way they fit into our own lives. Each one we played isn't just a clip, but a memory too.
  • @Rcxd2009
The Fallout 1 ending crushed me when the overseer said “Your a hero but you have to leave” and then you see your character walk off into the wasteland defeated and hopeless.
  • @cypher8691
dude this might actually be the best "its just a game"
  • My eyes were watering throughout the entire video. But as soon as 14.3 billion years started playing I started crying. I love mostly each and every one of these games. But Outer wilds left a mark on me.
  • No film has ever come close to making me feel as devastated as I did at the end of Red Dead Redemption 2. Video Games ARE Art.
  • @jadecain6943
I’ve cried too more video games than anything else. I didn’t have many friends growing up and now that I’m an adult I don’t have any but man some times when I play those games I just don’t feel so alone anymore.
  • Ecstatic to see outer wilds receive some recognition in one of these kinds of videos. That game truly made me think about life differently. “It’s the kind of thing that makes you glad you stopped and smelled the pine trees along the way, you know?”
