This is Formula 1 like you’ve never seen it before. The @dutchdronegods follow Max Verstappen’s brand new @redbullracing RB20 F1 car for a full lap of Silverstone’s Grand Prix Circuit. The world first uninterrupted FPV one shot was captured by a manually piloted custom built drone, designed specifically for the challenge of keeping up with the car at speeds of over 300kph.

It took Red Bull and the Dutch Drone Gods over a year to create a drone that can accelerate two times faster than an F1 car, reaching 300 km/h in just 4 seconds with a top speed of over 350 km/h. The development was accelerated by access to know-how and processes of Red Bull Advanced Technologies, a high-performance engineering arm of Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team and trialled behind the RB8 and RB19 cars driven by @liamlawson30 and David Coulthard.

what should we film next with the fastest camera drone in the world? 💨
  • @kekblob
10/10 for putting the full un-edited lap with no music
  • @sanderschat
mad respect to the fact of NOT using any over-dramatic music during the run... Highly appreciated.
  • @BrazaG
11:24 Seeing the aerodynamics of the car on the track, no render, no smoke simulation, but actual water showing the path of the air around the car, on the actual track is insane it looks so freckling cool
  • @sethb3090
I love the F1 driver's instant respect at hearing that the drone was actually flown manually.
  • @doktarstonks2796
Red Bull is literally doing side quests at this point 💀💀
  • @EMoney513
whoever edited this and put the entire shot all by itself no cuts no reactions.. i absolutely love you for this
  • @NostraDavid2
To the editors: Showing off bits and bobs of the flight in crappy quality was a genius way to really cause an impact for the final flight. I loved it!
  • @LilyLindgren
To watch an ongoing duel between 2 drivers in a f1 Race like this would be legendary 😄
  • @RainOfAshes
Some of the most impressive footage ever taken of an F1 car in motion.
  • @zurielsama
The footage at 6:09 is something up until this point has only been a dream in reality. Only video games have ever emulated the sense of following along race cars going flatout around a circuit in that manner, and the fact this is real tech now is staggering.

I would love to see a drone shot like this in an actual F1 race. Watching overtakes, etc. from this perspective would make these races even more interesting then they already are
  • F1 competitions would never be watched the same if they develop a live video stream of at least 720p from that kind of drone.
  • @RussSweet
Thank you for posting the entire lap with just the audio and sound of the car.
  • @calvus
Cannot wait to see this being used to stream an actual grand prix, it is so much clearer to see traction loss, the breaking zones the cars manoeuvre through and the raw speed, its amazing!
  • @Twinturbovan
i have to say that this made me extremly happy to see. Im 38 now and when i was a kid i saw us go from rotary phones to brick phones, to flip phones to phones with cameras and inspector gadget and now we have smart phones and smart watches and to see drones with cameras going this fast is almost unbelievable. Our technology is so amazing. Now we just need flying F1 cars :)
  • @JVerschueren
I've been watching F1 live and on TV since 1974 and those are the best shots of how F1 drivers deal with heavy rain I've seen.... epic.
  • @Kelsdoggy
That single shot in the rain and spray for the whole lap - no overlayed audio.. AMAZING!!!!
  • @irwan86
I once race my fpv drone on go kart track, seeing this make me happy
  • @inaccuracyy
Respect to the editor who actually make the film look like this
