This sounds amazing! The Black Sea has always been shrouded in legend, from tales of lost cities to historic battles. The potential discoveries could provide invaluable insights into the ancient world. Fingers crossed for some well-preserved artifacts!

The next part is up on the channel now. It's called "The priceless byzantine treasures lost at sea". They really should link it, or at least put part 1 in this title so we knew there'd be more, it did seem to end abruptly and randomly lol🤷‍♀️ but anyways..👍 ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've heard that studies of sediment near the Bosporus Strait show the flooding was gradual over about half a century

Ya know that I was an Oiler/Engineer on a Canadian Research Vessel and we were one out of 3 ships that were testing the ROVs when they first were invented here in British Columbia and I happened to be in the lab watching the monitors when they put the very first one in the water and I even said to the guys that they should put some kind of arm for a grabbing device lol and just look at how far they have come

Even the remnants of the ships look like they have people fighting on the decks!
  • As long as there is something to be discovered, men will continue to do what they have done since time immemorial: pursue what is hidden. But it must be said that new technologies have made the work of archaeologists much easier. In the past, persistence was essential, because making a surprising discovery was something that depended on infinite unsuccessful attempts. Now that sophisticated equipment pinpoints with great precision where something interesting might exist, archeology depends more on a lot of money than on the resigned patience of those who accept making many mistakes to get it right just once after decades.
