I judge the importance of Scotty's message by how much he flaps his arms.... LoL Good video as usual.

With all the money Scotty saves me, I can afford that new '94 Celica!

Oil and Liquid based undercoating make a HUGE difference if you are anywhere with salt, or if your vehicle already has rust. I stand by Fluid Film to stop any corrosion I find.
-
This is spoken from a person who has lived in areas where cars don't even rust for virtually their whole life. I can't believe someone whose been a mechanics for 900 years doesn't understand that undercoating is very important for us northerners.
-
Well maybe in some parts of world this is true. As i live in north Europe, Finland. We have rough weathers. Winters are cold and long, we salt our roads a lot. We also like to drive our cars for 20 years or more so if you don't do anything you are in big trouble with yearly inspections as your car WILL rust at some point. Most people here don't have dry garage where to keep their cars, they are just in parking lots in front of our homes. Most crappy one's will start showing rust just after 2-3 years.
-
Those old Tacoma's don't rust at all because they are all at scrap yards. Boxed frames are good in Texas but not so good in NY.
-
IV worked in the Toyota factory for years, and the E coated parts really arnt that great quality coating . Welds hardly ever get much coverage and are basically bare . I would undercoat here in Canada for sure .
-
You better chill out! All the things that make you pissed off or mad will lead to a heart attack!!!
-
Uh... Can you say FRAME replacement? Toyota did such a wonderful job protecting the metal from rust, they gave away thousands of free, new frames!
-
Undercoating definitely worth it if you live in a northern climate.
-
UNLESS... you live in the salt belt. If your car already has rust use a rust converter spray first, then paint, then undercoating.
-
I operated a garage business in New England in the 80's and 90's. Back then when you looked at the bottoms of older cars you could TELL who "wasted" their money on Ziebart anti-rust treatments. Of course, the "money-savers" who didn't waste money for the Ziebart didn't have an older car to put up on a lift - theirs was already junked :)
-
It’s to bad, cause 90% of Toyota’s made between 1980 and 2000 rusted beyond repair before the warrantee ran out, or a single major mechanical issue occurred.
-
Like others have pointed out, depends on where you live. Here in Canada I would highly suggest undercoating your vehicle. Without the undercoating it will rust much faster.
-
Always back to that Celica 😂 Scotty keepin it real...
-
Scotty should get a job on the tarmac landing planes!
-
Hold on Scotty…my Ford new car dealer here in Northern Virginia told me the ONLY way to protect my purchase was to buy the dealer applied undercoating system@$995.00! It was discounted from $1299.00 as a good guy discount. How about that Scotch-Guard protection on my new leather seats?
-
Scotty would be one hell of a weatherman man with all them hand gestures

If it’s one thing... everyday I’m learning something new from Scotty. What’s not to love about this guy?!?
