This is easily one of the best top 5 songs Sweet Baby James ever bestowed upon us. It sounds tremendous live and its lyrics are so meaningful. James is such a master storyteller as well as musician. Thank you very much for sharing this with us.

Mark O’Connor almost steals the show taking that last note out …great song
-
Reminds me of when I took my best friend Maximus Carmen my black cane Corso trout fishing and I I’d play this song drinking rum and watching my friend toil with the wildlife. I miss you Max-R.I.P my friend!

I saw JT first time November 1993, Koger Center Columbia SC, and I'm still excited about it, true story

One of my fav JT songs... I think I may have watched this live when it aired back in 91.

It doesn't get any better than this. Perfection.

Letterman always had the greatest performances.

James loves music so much. Shows every time he plays. There’s one shot of the piano player watching him smiling , stoked to be on stage with a legend.
-
Sure makes me sad to see Don Grolnick on piano 😢 - gone way too soon.
-
He's such a gift.
-
Absolutely exquisite 💔❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍
-
Call out for the violinist. Perfect!
-
this man is a legend
-
probably my favorite channel on YouTube. thank you.

Great song. JT is low-key here but I saw an interview with Carson where he's almost as entertaining and funny as he is musically talented. He had Carson falling off his chair. Don youre firing on all cylinders, posting ten videos in less than a week. Awesome.
