What I love about him is that it looks like sometimes he forgot he was the goalkeeper. 🤣 What a legend.
  • @gabsen7110
He may not be the best but no one would ever reach his level of confidence and flexibility..... True legend

This guy is one of the reasons i am a mad goalie. May his legacy live forever.
  • @weesky5222
i have to say, he's the goalkeeper who impacted me the most. we'll never see goalkeeper like that again...
  • He really made football fun to watch. I miss this kind of goalkeeper, this modern age is more concerned with money than fun.😢I miss Rene Higuita

The greatest Goalie EVER. Some will come out, some will even kick a penalty, but none will change the game. Football rewrote the book because this guy proved goalies can also play.
  • If Lev Yashín was recognized for his ability to anticipate and cut plays, René Higuita takes that ability to the extreme. He also adds control, ball driving and field vision, he looks like a libero. Higuita was not a clown, he was a professional and he knew what he was doing.
  • to be able to read the ball with a timing like that, he ii surely a legend

High spirit, confidence and ingenuity .. It is the salt of football .. Today the ball is played with feet of wood

Быстрый, техничный, артистичный. Чувствуется большая проделанная им работа и любовь к игре. Спасибо Рене за красивый футбол и эмоции болельщиков.
  • Higuita is a legend! Many people remember only his fault at World Cup 1990 or the amazing scorpion defence in 1995, but he was a very good goalkeeper, having great performances, specially at Libertadores 1989 and 1995.
  • @MrRawe123
He was not the best...but he was most joyful goalie on the world...great to watched him
  • @MAarshall
He scored 41 goals during his professional career, making him the 4th highest-scoring goalie to date.

Not many players stand out, and will be remembered, like this guy. I saw the scorpion kick live on TV at Wembley, and the crowd and commentators went nuts, as it was so unbelievable. Right there, he became an absolute legend in England, and still is.

There's no goalkeeper like him especially in his times, pure entertainer with focus and flexibility
  • @gangrel_76
Rene Hiquita and Rogerio Ceni. Two most unique goalkeepers ever.
