Just wish we would cut spending given to foreign militaries for our education system. We have fallen behind every developed nation and China and Russia now turn out more scientist and doctors than us. Please Mr Trump make education great again.

Otto Warmbier's parents looked so much like they needed to be hugged. I wish I could have been there to hug them.

You'd think the African American and Latino Democrats would atleast clap when Trump said that their unemployment rates were the lowest. I really didn't like Obama but I gave him credit when it was due.
  • Quick summary of the address • "The state of our union is strong because our people are strong" • Created 2.4 million new jobs, including 200,000 new manufacture jobs • After years of wage stagnation, wages are raising • Unemployment rates hit a 45 year low • Lowest unemployment rates ever for Blacks and Hispanics • Small business confidence at an all time high • Stock market gained 8 trillion and more in value • 401k, retirement pension, and college savings accounts have gone through the roof • Biggest tax cuts and reforms in American history • Lowered the standard tax deduction by nearly double for everyone • First $24,000 made by a married couple is tax free • Doubled the child tax credit • More take home pay starting next month • Repealed core of Obama Care (It forced mostly Americans making under 50k that could not afford government ordered health plans to pay tremendous penalties) individual mandate is gone • Veterans can choose their own healthcare • Business tax rate from 35% down to 21% so American companies can compete against foreign manufacturers • Average family income will increase by 4k • 3 million employees got tax cut bonuses • Apple is going to invest 350 billion dollars in America and hire another 20 thousand workers. Exxonmobil 50 billion dollars investing in United States • "This in fact is our new American moment. There has never been a better time to start living the American dream. To every citizen watching at home tonight, no matter where you've been and where you've come from, this is your time. If you work hard, if you believe in yourself, if you believe in America, then you can dream anything, you can be anything, and together we can achieve absolutely anything." • "Together, we are rediscovering the American way. In America, we know that faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, are the center of American life." • Going to appoint judges who interpret the Constitution as written • Exporting energy to other countries • Car companies building and expanding plants across the US. Detroit is finally growing once again • Massive medicine innovations. Patients can start using experimental drugs to potentially cure them instead of searching across the world • Priority to reduce price on prescription drugs • Trading relationships to be fair and reciprocal • Prioritizing safe, fast, and reliable infrastructure • Calling on congress to produce a bill that generates at least 1.5 trillion dollars for a new infrastructure investment • "We can lift our citizens from welfare to work, from dependence to independence, and from poverty to prosperity." • BERNIE SANDERS CLAPS HANDS • Wants to invest in job training and open vocational schools "so that future workers can learn and craft and realize their full potential" • Support working families with paid family leave • Wants to embark on reforming prisons to help former inmates who have served their time to get a second chance at life • Calling on Congress to close loopholes for gang members to infiltrate the country • "Americans are dreamers too" • Deportation and imprisonment of notorious gangs such as MS-13 • Reform the immigration system. Bipartisan immigration plans four pillars: Offer path to citizenship for 1.8 illegal immigrants who were brought here by their parents at a young age. Those who meet education and work requirements and show good moral character will be able to become full citizens over a 12 year period Fully secure the Southern border End the visa lottery, which randomly hands out green cards without any regard for skill, merit, or the safety of Americans. Wants a merit based immigration system End chain migration. Under current system, a single immigrant can bring in unlimited numbers of distant relatives. Limit it to spouses and children • "Lets come together, set politics aside, and finally get the job done." • In 2016, 64 thousand Americans died from drug overdoses. Committed to fighting drug epidemic and helping to get treatment for those in need • "The most difficult challenges bring out the best in the American people" • Asking congress to end the defense sequester and fully fund our military • Modernize and rebuild nuclear arsenal. HELL YEAH • Asking Congress to pass legislation to help ensure "American foreign assistance dollars always serve American interests and only go to friends of America not enemies." • Endorsed the people of Iran in their struggle for freedom • Asking Congress to address the fundamental flaws in the Iran nuclear deal • Imposed sanctions on the communist and socialist dictatorships in Cuba and Venezuela • Waging a campaign of maximum pressure to prevent North Korean nuclear threats • "Past experiences have taught us that complacency and concessions only invite aggression and provocation" • The Patriots chant "USA USA USA..." • "Our task is to respect (the citizens), to listen to them, to serve them, to protect them, and to always be worthy of them" • "Thank you and God bless America" • Ends by going to the Democrat Officials' side. Shows maturity

All that standing up and sitting down again must be quite an effective workout
  • @DaintyCanadian
I can only wish Trudeau loved his country as much as Trump loves his.
  • @BaneQuaker
Please note that there are still many people in South Korea who believe in you, Mr.Trump. What we worry about is not the collateral damage of a preemptive strike, but the withdrawal of the USFK, which would practically be the doom of South Korea. I hope we can go together for a better future, by eradicating that evil regime nesting in Pyongyang. Long live the U.S.-S.Korea alliance!
  • @NailgunDeath
I didn't vote for Trump but I have to admit his policies are energizing the economy and he really seems to care about making America great again and changing the pattern of mediocrity that has been the American way for a long time.
  • @CodyCBenson
Did the Democrats think this was the sit of the union address? You think they would have stood for at least some of what Trump said.
  • @Haplotype0
Wow, dems couldn't even applaud a new plant in Michigan? Lame.
  • @mrslapside
Democrats looking saltier than ocean water.
  • @MakinMagic2006
I am an immigrant, woman and gay and I voted for Trump and so did my wife. We support border control, we support our veterans and we know that we have a great, great privilege and honor to be a part of the best nation in the world. Veterans before refugees. Citizens before illegal aliens. Unrestricted freedom of speech before feelings. MAGA!
  • Gotta love the looks of those democrats...geez they could at least pretend to look happy to save their own hide
  • @GMoneyXL1969
As a Black man, I was genuinely disturbed when Trump mentioned the lowest rate of African-American unemployment ever recorded, as the camera showed a particular crowd, the majority of Black representatives did not stand up. SMH!
