Fallout 3: Point Lookout was a DLC offered in the original Fallout 3 game, made by Bethesda Game Studios. It's one of the most memorable areas and moments throughout the Bethesda RPG, including a weird paranormal story and set on the atlantic coast south of the Capital Wasteland.
Everything is completely carried over, including scripted events for quests like the Tribal initiation and the various events in the Manor. Best of all is it's wonderful recreation of the beginning cinematic that introduces you to the bleak and dreary cape of Point Lookout. During Fallout's Great War, Point Lookout was mostly spared from the bombs. However, in place it is still a radioactive swamp largely populated by violent cannibals and mutant creatures ready to rip you to shreds.
Honestly this is my favourite mod I've played yet, Fallout 4 Point Lookout brings a separate worldspace that is vastly different to the average experience within the Commonwealth, and does very well and re-contextualizing the atmosphere of Fallout 3 into Fallout 4's engine, even if it is just a DLC port. Big Kudos to the Capital Wasteland team for making this mod, it's absolutely phenomenal.

wasnt project wasteland cancled, like they seperated.. so.. idk i just have no hopes of ever seeing a full fallout 3 mod. hell im betting we see bethesda make a fallout 3 remastered before we see the mod come fully online if it is in the work for how little ive heard since idk over a year now maybe 2
